I have some cyano forming so I was thinking of using some red slime remover but I also need to treat for a few flatworms. would you treat at the same time? trying to avoid a bunch of water changes and just do one large one

I have a Halichoeres melanurus , he did ok but im sure there are some he cant get to. the treating part isnt the issue as I want to do it just to make sure theyre gone. to be honest the flatworms havent really done anything, they just look ugly because they looked like dirt all over my sand. I have not seen any coral damage due to the flatworms
I might get a sixline too but they make me nervous bc theyre so mean haha

Mike bought me a six line wrasse awhile back. He really does not eat the little flatworm on the glass. He like to go after my son cleaner and fire shrimp.

I would not use them together. The FE works really fast and is necessary to put carbon back in once the FW start to die off then a water change shortly after that. And the cyno treatment I like to leave in for several days.

ok, let me rephrase lol
I dont have a huge flatworm problem anymore, just want to kill the residuals..
the plan was to use red slime remover as directed on the bottle and leave it in for 48hrs per the instructions (while running an airstone) (I have used this stuff before and it works fine, thats not the question) ...

once that is complete, I was going to put the FE exit per the instructions ( i believe is 30 minutes or so) and siphon out what I see... I will have a 50gal waterchange on hand so once I siphone out that amount, 50 would go back in and I would crank on the reactor with 2lbs of carbon

OR I might just do them seperately but thats alot of salt :\

Flatworm exit scares the hell out of me. Those puppies are toxic as hell, especially when they all die all at once! I had a flatworm problem 7 or so years ago and used it. I was well prepared, siphoned as many dead ones as possible, and did water changes at appropriate intervals afterwards. I immediately had about every problem known to man in an SPS tank including the death of a couple of my favorite colonies. So, if I were u, I would exhaust every possible natural solution before using that stuff....but trust me, it works!
