xanthid crabs, nano reef safe? (1 Viewer)

Alright so in my friends biology class he caught 2 xanthid crabs, they are really small and dont seem much of a threat to my damsel.. who keeps pecking at them through the bag. My question is are they reef safe? My tank is 3.5 gallons and i have some mushrooms and star polyps.

Most are bad. Definitely not worth the risk.
