xenias only pulse at night (1 Viewer)

for somereason i see my xenias pulse madly at night but while the lights are on it either will not pulse or pulse very little. everything in my tank seems to be fine. i have a 90gallon with MHs. only phosphates are out a bit but thats about it.

during the day does the xenia extend or does it shrivel up.. I think the intensity of the halides may be the problem. But I'm not 100% sure :)

it might not be enough light lol cause i see another frag that i have stretches out for light i think the other one stretches out less..
my kenya hammer and bubble are happy so im not really sure

Xenia are a living ph test.I would suspect that your xenia start to pulse at the peak of your ph which is right before the lights go out.Check your kh and if it is correct 10 to 12dkh then drip calcium hydroxide which will stimulate your potential of hydrogen. Xenia love light and will take as much as you can give.Good luck :wink:
