I just put a mandarin goby in the tank this afternoon, when the lights came one the blue damsel started backing up into it with his fins perked up. I need to catch him and get him out of the tank. I have had the damsel since I set the tank up and have never had problems introducing other fish.

I have a 75 with a sailfin, chromis, two fals percs, lawnmower blenny, and now the mandarin goby. Also, there is about 80 lbs or live rock so I may have to remove the rock to catch him. What do you guys think?

Just caught him after taking all of the rock work down. What a hassle. He is up for grabs if anyone wants him. PM me.

Trying to catch that fish with all of your rockwork is going to be a huge pain in the behind. Unless you got lucky, you'd probably end up taking out most of your rock before you get him. An alternative that I have used successfully is to use a fish trap. Some LFS have them for you to rent, but you can find them online. I know that Fish Gallery used to have one that they would lone out. The trick is to only feed inside the trap so that the fish are forced to go inside of it to eat. Eventually hunger will override the fish's fear of the trap. Good luck.

Not sure why my post showed up the way it did. When I posted my reply I couldn't see that you had already gotten him out. Weird.
