I posted this on reefcentral also.

I have many different zoanthids. No matter what they looked like when I bought them, they all get real short( practically hung the rocks) and their tenticle shirts get very long. They keep their colors, and grow fine. any thoughts?

I've read here and there that zoa's like iodine. I don't have a test for it so I have no idea where my tank is at.

I'm not overly concerned, just an observation at this point.

Could possibly be light spectrum. Never read anything about corals that might do this, but many fw plants will grow long and thin or short and bushy depending on what spectrum light they are under. Just a thought.
