Still no power... this isn't rolling blackout.
My son lives near old town Spring and he hasnt had power since 2AM...guessing a lot of you are have the same issue.
Our average outage is a few hours but about once a year we get a 12 hour plus outage. Wind is actually the cause of most of our problems. I live on the very edge of Edison's border map so it takes longer to get fixed.I am surprised to hear about power outages in Michigan... I am 2 km direct to its border. We very rarely get an outage.. If we do it is in the summer and fixed in no time at all. An hour or 2 tops.
Just outside of Lansing. I know people by Ferndale that lose power super easy and they are in the city. Old infrastructure in a lot of place. I'm about 2 miles from the DTE and lansing board of electric border. Can take a bit for DTE to get out here for big storms.Ok where in Michigan are you at Melanie ? I got a buddy out by Smithsville. Come to think of it I think he once told me his power can just go out for days. He says they just don't give a dam.
Cover the top and wrap the tank. That might help, but without a backup plan, you might be in trouble. Let me know if I can help with anything going forward.Had power in Cypress until about 6:45 this evening. As I am new to the hobby, I do not have a back up plan. Figured I at least had until hurricane season. I am not planning on anything surviving.
