    Wet/dry sump advice

So I need to raise my water level to the tape mark in my wet/dry sump so my new skimmer will be happy. Unfortunately this will submerge the lower 2 inches of bioballs. So my options are leave it as it, raise the bioballs so they are not submerged, or remove the bioballs completely and go a...

    Can anyome ID this fish?

That's it! I appreciate the info and it's interesting that it can live in both fresh and saltwater. The larger one that we caught today was actually quite pretty.

    Can anyome ID this fish?

Definitely not a bass or a commonly caught species. I'm fairly well versed with the local saltwater and freshwater fish but this has me stumped. I caught another of this species last month that was only about an inch long aswell.

    Can anyome ID this fish?

I caught this freshwater fish in a ditch while trying to catch fish for my backyard pond. It almost resembles a blenny species that you'd find in the saltwater. If you have any ideas as to what it could be let me know! Thank you

    What's your current reef binge?

I've thought about building a larger semi FOWLR. Just throwing in a bunch of gsp and pulsing xenia and letting them get a head start then put in whatever fish I want. Thay way I get the best of both worlds. A colorful reef, and the fish can munch on whatever and it not break my heart.

    What's your current reef binge?

There definitely seem to be some eye popping shrooms coming into the hobby lately. Unfortunately a lot have eye popping pricetags too 😂 But to be fair scolys are just as bad if not worse.

    What's your current reef binge?

Surely I'm not the only one that feels they go through waves in this hobby. Currently I'm obsessed with scolys. There is just something about the vast variety of colors and patterns coupled with the ability to hand feed then at night that peaks my interest. With that said, what's your current...

    Just introducing myself

Growing up, I was in the Houston area and bounced around on here, now I live in the Corpus area. My little 32 biocube is doing pretty well and the utterchaos zoas are slowly overtaking everything. Suppose it's a good thing to have to worry about, but not many people my way to talk to, or try and...

Hi Lyman, I appreciate your advice. I was looking today and saw there is a non HD model out there aswell. Any idea what the benefits are when compared to each other? Thanks

Best l.e.d. light setup for a biocube?

I'm about to get back into reefing after spending about 5 years or so off. When I had my last reef tank up t-5s and metal halides were all the rage, but it seems LEDs seem to be the more economical way to go now. What's a good setup for all around coral growth for everything, sps, lps, softies...
