And so the madness begins. The actual main DT is 84x30x24, or 260g. The skimmer is a monster, Reeflo Orca 250 Pro, powered by a sequence dart. The return for the entire planned system will be a Reeflo Hammerhead. The main display will be 3x400w MH with 4x T5 with a mix of fiji purple and actinic, if I dont like the t5s I will go back to the VHO T12 super actinic. This tank will be SPS dominated, with a 1.5" sand bed. Yes I am going to do sand. There are too many hot and sexy wrasses that I enjoy watching that need to be in my tank. I said Wrasse not............. Sickos. Also I plan on adding at some point a Red Haddoni Anemone, which do the best with a sandy bottom, again get your mind out of the gutter I am talking about the substrate of my tank. I havent quite decided on flow yet, I know that i have 4 holes in the back of the tank. 2 1" for the returns and 2 1-1/2" for the boxes or drain holes or however I decided to get water from the tank to the sump, another undecided factor. There is 1 hole drilled in the bottom that the former owner used as a stand pipe for water changes and what not. I do have a O&M 4way, so I could do a closed loop but not sure if thats the way I want to go. I currently have 2x mp40s on my 110g. I plan to incorporate a massive frag tank, for my future coral business, which you will hear about later down the road. I think that we were drawing up something along the size of 96x36x12, probably will be a plywood/fiberglass tank, who knows. I also plan to incorporate 4x 40g breeders, 2 divided into 3rds for broodstock, 1 as a quarantine tank and 1 as a holding tank for livestock ready to be introduced to the display. Any comments, suggestions etc are valued during this process. So lets get onto some pictures.

This first step, removing the carpet and wood floor from the current rooms to put down some tile.

Fishroom almost done, second bedroom done, bathroom done, and almost on to the DT room. Me and my buddy are doing all the tile work.

Nice! Almost the same size as my new tank (84x24x24).
I was looking at reeflo pumps as well.
Looking forward to more updates.

how did this thread get by me!?
its looking great man! i haven't had a chance to modify the 8x4 frag system, i just got slammed at the office! but i'll change it and account for plumbing. maybe sometime soon i can stop by and measure everything in the area to model up both rooms and tanks and start tying it all together incase you want to change anything before your build it.

So I was doing some aqua scape the other day and came up with this. I got 20 pounds of Marco Prime cuts in the mail today which will probably go under the main structures to make the bottom of this scape above the sand line. I need a few more pieces for the middle structure to shoot it out a little more. Comments or suggestions welcome.

Beautiful aquascaping! I'll be tagging along for this build. I'd number those rocks somehow so you can rebuild it in the tank! LOL

So I have spent most of the day grouting these rooms. What a pain, my knees hurt my head hurts my back hurts and my hands hurt. Still have the display room left to grout, and about 30 sqft of tile to lay. I think next time I am just going to pay a crew to do it.
