A couple things that I still need before it is ready to go. I still need to cut a whole and plumb everything through the wall into the spare room. I need to figure out what with the overflow boxes or try something different. And the largest most costly piece is getting the electrician to come out and wire me up 2x20amp boxes. That's just to get it going. I also need to get a ca reactor kalk stirrer another mp40 2 40g breeders and the frag tank. Also need another large luminarc style reflector and one more 400w electronic ballast. I think I might be able to get most the high ticket items with some chalice trades though

I got a mp40 with a battery back up. Not sure I'm gonna use it cause I'm thinking getting the Tunze set up of two pumps and controller.
Might trade it for some coral with you.
Just have to do some research on Tunze VS Vortech mp40.

Well I got almost all of the plumbing done today. The only thing left is to glue in the returns. I might hit all of the pieces with Krylon but not sure if I want to wrap the whole damn room in plastic.

Some updates.

First off the equipment and fish room. Its a cluster right now, but still want to document progress. I plan to set up a 40g refugium with the 3x3 frag tray above it. to the right will be the first bank of 3 x20gL Clownbroodstock system. I am also going to do a QT system with the other 40B and another 20gL.

Rock work is sweet. Very well done.

Looks like you were able to hit up the petco $1 a gallon sale finally! I will be doing the same soon for some more QT tanks as well.

Very jealous of your "fish room" too. Must be nice having all that space!

Very nice man. so you just plumbed the chiller straight into one of the two return sides? I'm going to be running two pumps and have been wondering the best way to plumb the chiller I just got.

Yes. and the reason is that I am running a monster of a return pump that is capable of 6,000 gph. The frag tank which is 3x3, fuge and clownfish brood stock tanks will all be run by the pump also. I am thinking of running the chiller into the garage since it puts off a massive amount of heat into the room. either that or I am going to build a box and vent it out the window. I am planning on making a fake wall and insulating it and putting it up in front of the window, since the sun hits that side of the house all day long. Then I might even run the chiller and split ac unit out the window, with no cooling loss. I am still tossing around a few ideas.

Yeah I'm going to have to see what type of heat this dog puts out, might have to put it in the garage and cut some holes in the wall - just don't tell my wife. :yell:

Few more pictures of some of the things I did today

Frag tank stand and frag tank, the sump is going to go underneath, it will be a 40B. I think that I am going to put a 2-3" sandbed, live rock in one corner approximately 25lbs, lots of cheato on one side and add 2-3 lionfish. I know it sounds a little cruel but I will need to dispose of the deformed clownfish once the breeding system is up and going, what better food for a lionfish in a vitamin enriched deformed fish, just dont tell the other half thats the plan or I would end up with another tank filled with all the "SPECIAL" clowns. The frag tank is 36x36x7
