Dimensions are sweet man. Great call on putting the tile down too. Scape is incredible for a first crack too, jeez. Who is your tank builder?

Finally the tile is fully laid. Now I have to grout the 30sqft remaining, touch up a few spots, finish the remaining 2 rooms of quarter round and paint the quarter round and baseboards.

So a few updates. First off the tile is completely in, quarterround is in, and everything is sealed not only behind the quarter round but also on the top and bottom seams, so no water should get through the baseboards and into the wall... Unless I get more than 5 inches of water on the floor. The only thing left to do on the floor is to paint the baseboards.

And here is some of the aquascape that I did today. I think that I am happy with it, but not 100%. Still need to mortar some of the pieces together even though its pretty sturdy as is. The pics arent the best. Tank is still in the garage so I rigged up the halides and closed the garage door to take the pics. Comments appreciated and if you would do something more or less let me know.

Love the double cove look. Also the bridge on the left corner is great, maybe replicate that one more time to give one big hole to the back somewhere in that scape. I realize I am splitting hairs here, but you asked for it. I personally think it looks amazing as is. You gonna be able to replicate it once it comes out?

Pretty sure I can. I am going to remove it one side at a time and mortar it together.

Looks good Jason, one thing try to lift all the pieces up about 3" or so. you create more dept with the nice caves you got then. Also put some flat pieces on the bottom, just enough peeking out the sand. the pieces on top, try to angle them as the high side on the outside and the low towards the center like a valley. Only like a 15% incline not to much, and maybe just that on the left side.
If you mortar use the trick I told you, in that case it's structural strong and sturdy but easy to remove if you want to change out a piece in the future.
I can stop by maybe one day this week and we can start playing around on that.
Need a peek on the SPS that you have left any way!
Let me know.

Looks good!

When you fill it, use a bowl to take the pressure of the water and allow the water to flow out of the bowl. I didn't rinse my sand (mix of sugar size and seafloor special @ 4" deep) and used this technique...my tank was clear in about 2 days.

How long before you start it up???
