I recently ordered my tank from deep sea aquatics and the first tank showed up cracked due to shipping. They said they could have a new tank delivered in two weeks but its going on 7 weeks now and still no tank. They keep saying one more week and giving me the run around. Has anyone else had a similar issue with them?

You didn't order through LFS? Their tanks are fine but if something happens good luck getting in touch with anyone.

Call this guy. I found it through google.

I did order through lfs but the guy who owns the place is a long time friend d so he is keeping me informed about what the dsa rep is telling him and pretty much he is having a hard time keeping in touch with the dsa rep and when he doesn't get in touch with the rep they pretty much yank his chain to stall for time.

Heck the tank was the first thing I ordered and I was going to slowly get the rest of my equipment for the build but now I literally have everything, rock, sand, sump, skimmer, light, return pumps and yet no tank.

How big is the tank? What's crazy they ruin their reputation on something so minor.

Get your money back from LFS if you put a deposit regardless if he's your friend or not.

It's a 250 gallon and they actually called this morning and said the tank is on the truck and will be here today. Maybe they saw this thread. Lol

Glad to hear.

So many cracked/leaky tanks these days it's scary. Quality of these tanks have gone down.

Good for you!!

I did also change every option to it that they allowed.....
I'll have my son's build the next one.
Might come out better.

I wasn't to happy with mine after I found a couple scratches on the outside of my Planet tank. The panes of glass don't line up perfectly either, but oh well.

What at makes you think it's not a solid tank? Are you looking for perfection or reasonable price?

You can call Felix over at reef savvy and he can ship you a perfect tank. Since this is ur 3rd planet tank and ur unhappy for the third time, I'm assuming you are on a budget.

Obviously..our standards are very different....I'm a perfectionist. I work with arospace machined parts daily so i know what perfect is
...when it came to things with tight tolerance..... !!
Everything in my life i judge to these standards... In THIS hobby, guess i can't..nothing lines up.!

Mine doesn't have one scratch on it, and all panels are aligned perfectly. For anybody who might be interested in buying one, you are more than welcome to come see mine. I looked at them for 6 months before I bought mine. Not reef savvy, but not $6,000 either.

I paid $550 for my 150/G brand new. Beat that price. Not even Glass Cages can beat it.
