Ha Ha...it's all good Bro! Just sayin' not all Planet tanks are jacked up. They aren't top of the line, but they are pretty dang nice for $550 shipped. This tank isn't showing any signs of stress. If it breaks, I'll let you know and will be the first to tell about it. Trust me.

Seriously though, no worries dude, I was just pulling ur chain a little. I'm going to bed.

Before I go to bed...

I saw some tanks over at Nick's...Oceanlife... That were very impressive and super clean. I know they injected the seams which concerns me a little bit because you can't get the squeeze out for the bubbles you can see and the bubbles YOU CAN'T SEE.

I haven't heard of one failing personally though, just rumors. The quality is so clean I'd be willing to try them.

They have some sick screen tops too. I know you guys have seen the ones I'm talking about.

I would probably buy one again, but would be sure to inspect it with a fine tooth comb. I wouldn't accept a tank with scratches, that's not cool.

Ya, if you want that kind of rimless perfection, you have to pony up and go Reef Savvy.
I like my eurobraced Planet tank for what I paid for it, and for the same price, it's nicer than my DSA tank was. And the front glass isn't getting all scratched up like the buttery soft glass on the DSA.
There was a recent thread on RC detailing all the back and forth communication between DSA and a guy trying to get his tank replaced under warranty. What a cluster that was.

Or pony up and get a Elos tank. They will do custom orders but will take a few months for each panel to dry. But rimless perfection.

I got my DSA 185 Neo Pro tank replaced with no hassles from them. They did say my new tank will be delivered in 2 weeks also but I had to wait around 6 weeks for it. Other than that, I have no complaints.

I've been in the business for many years. I've seen many different tanks from many different makers. You will see problems with all of them unfortunately. Just imagine building hundreds if not thousands every month and having everyone being "perfect". I doubt it. As long as they stand behind their work and make it right for you. I can't say all my fishes and corals will live but I will try to make it right. That's all we can do in any business. Oh, All my tanks in the store are built by DSA and have been happy with the build so far.

What a cool room for a tank! I would give urself room to get behind the tank though. Every time I don't, I regret it later.

Nick, I agree....just about every tank will have imperfections. As long as the seams don't have large bubbles and you use a good silicone and let the panels dry completely before moving the tank, it will be ok.

What are those tanks in the store that have the super clean injected seams?

Thanks. It's a formal dining room that we decided to use as a sitting room. Stole the idea from this photo
