NanoNano showed off at one of the meetings a pretty cool tool. Send your magfloat to Nicks Acrilyc Reef and have him attach a razor to the front of it. She really seamed to like it, and I will probably get one once I'm finished upgrading my tank.

That sounds interesting Crystal. Except I've never been totally impressed with my Mag.

I use a straight razor blade in a small holder I found in the paint dept at Walmart. The holder is light blue and about 1.5" long. Works like a charm and the blades are cheap.

Before I found that I used a Kent scraper which was also good and has a bigger handle if that is an issue. But the Kent won't get in tight places.

Of the two, I think the razor works best.

Take a wood dowl rod and drill a hole on the end.
1.00 at home depot.

Take a blade with a hole and screw it on the dowl!
Your done!

Puma, for a glass tank, I still like the razor blade attachment that glues onto the Mag but the dowel/with attached blade sounds like it would work also. I like supporting members that have come up with products that work :D Now if we could find razor blades that don't rust

I found a longer razor in the paint section of walmart, I think it's called a tile razor. It's about 4 inches long and has a nice handle on. Great for scraping big tanks.

They have the same one at HD, 4" scraper. Works great & has a plaastic handle.
