Thanks a lot.......but sadly, this tank might be taken down soon.

Just found some mold in my apt. Maintance crew is gonna fix it, I don't know if they are going to spray any kinda mold inhibitor, so .... Sigh. I hope I don't have to tear it down. But I rather someone babysit all my stuff than risk losing it all if some funky chemicals get in my tank.

Elos 70, I hardly knew ye.

What do you think about the light coverage using the single unit on the tank.

How does it do being hung so high?

Light coverage is ok. It was just the massive shadows. A lot of the corals didn't get much even light. Might need a motorized rail. I ended up putting both units on.

I hate anemones. Mines decided to go for a walk today. Right into my vortech. I left for about an hour and came back to a cloudy tank. Bits of anemone everywhere. The anemone was a goner. No foot left. Just bits of a mouth.

I lucky has about 10 gallons premix on hand, did a quick water change (about 25%) Changed the carbon. Added extra polyfilter.

So.... I had to go to work. What are my chances? Will I come home to a lovely seafood gumbo? Or will it be ok with the things I did. All the fish retreated to the rockwork. One snail looked like it fell off the glass....prognosis doesn't look good.

I might leave early today. Crappy crappy week. I just bought like 20 new frags. I hope everything makes it. Sps were sliming up pretty bad. My skimmer is going nuts.

seems all is well so far. I noticed some of my corals have burnt tips now. A little bit of necrosis in the ends.... hopefully they get better. Pictures in a few.

Happened to me in March. Small anemone did the same thing into my MP10 on my 15-gallon nano. I did a water change and took out what remains I could find. The tank came through just fine. Hope yours does the same.

Tank seems ok. I've been meaning to take pictures but didn't get the chance. Nitrates jumped up a lil, prob anemone related.

Took my gfo offline in preparation for zeovit

So I've been really lazy with my tank. I bought a bunch of liner so I can reline the inside of my tank. But I got lazy.

I did take out my biopellets, gfo and skimmer out. Kinda stirred up the bottom of the sump. Gosh that junk was dirty. I guess I have to go back to filter socks. I guess all the rods food makes it down the sump and into the empty fuge area and gets trap there.

I switched out the skimmer to a new super reef octopus xp1000, installed my vertex zeovit reactor.

Everything looks great. Until. One Sps I just got recently has been turning brown. Upon closer examination. I see white spots. ......... Time to dip....

After my first night of zeovit.... I have to say i am utterly impressed. My jaw dropped when I looked at some of my Sps. My purple plasma had it's polyps extended out so much I didn't even recognize it at first.

90% of my Sps had full extended p e. A small few closed up. A few were kinda iffy.

But so far I like it. Getting the hang of dosing.

dang haha... alright. I was meaning to take more pictures but got lazy. Just finished uploading these 3 pictures.

I'm not having much luck with wild/mariculture sps. These 2 have been on a downwards trend. I'll stick to the small frags for now.

Here's a pic of the new skimmer compared to the new one. I bought the new one because of the better pump, and also I thought it was smaller than the nac7. its bigger .. duh'oh

I dunno but it seems like colors are getting richer with the zeovit. Its starting to branch out now.

Ora Purple Plasma, notice the crazy PE. I have never seen anything like that. Its crazy. I don't know if its the new skimmer, me cleaning the bottom of my sump, or zeovit. But i like it!

Nice toy. I have read good reviews on the bubble blaster pumps. Why did you change the skimmer just curious? Looking at your tank, I don't see a big fish load plus BMs are good skimmers IMO.

I changed it mainly due to ease of cleaning. my sump was small and i kept making a huge mess taking the skimmer out. I wanted to get something smaller yet still powerful so i bought the super reef octopus xp1000sss. lol too bad its bigger than i thought.

I played with the idea of selling the nac 7 but its such a great skimmer, i might just hold on to it for backup or when I get a bigger tank. I paid 260 for it but i can't get any offers for more than 150. Imo not worth selling.

Well, i'm a little overstocked with fish for the size of my tank.

1 Yellow tank
1 mystery wrasse
1 yellow watchman
1 randall goby
1 target mandarin
1 lawnmower blenny
2 clown fish

Too lazy.

Stuffing the BM7 means I have to remove all my LR in there.

If the BM7 goes on the market, hit me with a text first.

I just updated my AI lights to the new 3.0 fireware. As I type this, the lightning storm is going off.

Yes it is gimmicky. But I love it lol. I am freaking out the fish! lol.
