Congratulations on the new house! For the humidity the central AC will help some but I still run a dehumidifier. What I'd like to get in the next house is a unit ventilator. Helps exhaust the hot humid air but also brings in fresh air and conditions it before entering the room. Great way to maintain higher ph and avoid wasting thermal energy.

Also for the closet, you may want to line the walls with vinyl board like used in commercial kitchens and bathrooms.

Plumbing question:

So I want to use the 1" return lines as drains in addition to regular 1.5" durso drain pipes. How should I plumb this so it doesn't make a lot of noise. A regular elbow would work???

I would make the main drain bigger than the return. That is what I'm doing. Why are u doing a Durso setup? I'm going with the herbie method. Just curious why u are using that one.

Read my previous post again. Main drain is 1.5" and the return line is 1" which I want to make as an additional drain line. [emoji4]

Okay couple of small updates:

200/lbs of Marco rock came in, very clean don't see a lot of dead organic waste on it, the pedestal shelve pieces are cool. I also got their putty and some nylon rods just in case I need to attach anything.

I was thinking about changing to a bigger ro/di unit but my 100 GPD vertex puratek has been working so great with the booster pump-decided to change all the filters and keep it.

Might be good to dose some Zeo-Bak or something similar to try and get some good bacteria growing while curing the rock. If you can, use DT water change water to fill the vat.

If it starts to get funky, add a skimmer and run some carbon. I'd do this in the garage. Back in 2012 Me and tkeracer619 from RC cured some rock. I Cured Marco and he was curing Pukani. His crap got super funky. PO4 was off the chart too. My rock didn't have much issue if I remember correctly.

Just buy some Seaklear and start with 20ML. You don't need to be safe in a vat! You can start with 100ML. :) Nuke it!

Ok thanks.

I already have the seaklear (for the pool) wasn't sure how much to dose. I will soak the rock in ro/di water plus seaklear for at least two weeks and then soak in saltwater and test PO4 after a couple of days. And if all is good; the final step is to add bacteria and start the cycle in the Rubbermaid tote.

Must start with clean rock [emoji106]

Sounds like you got a plan. FYI, if you don't have the commercial it's not the 99.99% and you could double the dose. I think the other is like 60% + or -

Ok thanks.

So after talking to a couple of stand builders I came to the decision that myself with a help of king of diy can build the stand.
🤣🤣🤣

Do not use less than 2x6 for a tank this size. So with some semi basic tools I built the stand myself. An impact driver is a must for a job like this. You can use a regular drill but with an impact it's ten times easier. And for $24 don't forget to get a corner clamp. I bought just one and can be used on almost any size lumber.

Running fresh water test and getting ready to get the wave tiles to skin the stand

That stand ain't going anywhere. Beast mode.
And I've always liked that wavy tile on walls.
