LOL! Nice pic, Chuck. :D

Yeah, the 92g is going buh-bye. I plan on using as much of it as I can with the 225g. I'll probably sell/trade off the actual tank/stand/canopy/lights, etc... at a later date.

Don't get me wrong, though. I love the 92g... it's just that, the 225 is bigger (see pic above). LOL!

For the most part, the "equipment list" is still up in the air. I have a couple of things in mind, but you know how "plans" are. Either way, it shouldn't take me as long to get water in this one as it did with my 92g build.

I'll need all the help I can get, so thanks for taggin' along guys! As you all may or may not know, Mike (2dawghouse) is who I got the tank from.

I know you will. But it hurts to be kicked out of the "Go big or go home" club.

Great looking tank Leo.

Are you gonna do a closed loop for water circulation?

set that baby up and stop talking!

Easy killer! Good things come to those that wait. LOL

Here's some dried out live (dead) rock that Sherri gave me for free! Thanks for that, Sherri! :)

I've got a bunch of live rock that I'm going to cook before I throw it into the tank, and I figured I'd throw this stuff in there, too. What do you guys think? Should I "cook" this stuff, too? There's probably about 40-45lbs of this. I have 120 lbs in my old tank that I'll be using, and I'm aiming for about 200-250lbs.

Oh, I also purchased four 32 gallon Brutes today. 2 to cook some rock, and 2 for RO/DI station I'm setting up in the garage.

im liking your rock selection man. dont add too much rock in your tank though. save it for the corals. i would aim about 150 lbs. its going to look empty at first. but you wont regret it when your corals grow.

Man, you're like the 2 guy that's told me that in the past week. I guess I'll take your advice. :)

When it comes to rock inside the display....Less is more. You can always stuff more rock down in your sump.....that's what I did.

Right now I have a mag 9.5 for my return, but will be upgrading to a mag 18 to also run my reactors. for flow, I have 2- Koralia #4's modded with the sureflow black props and 2- Koralia #3's modded with my #4 props. Works very well, just a bit too directional for my taste. I will be upgrading to Vortechs as soon as I can afford it. I was going to run a closed loop since the tank was already drilled for one when I bought it, but after adding the cost of an oceanmotions 4way, a Reeflo Barracuda, and the cost to run the pump each month....I decided against it. Just to run the closed loop pump would cost about $25/month. Besides...the money for the 4way and the Barracuda will buy 2 Vortech MP40w's.

I hear ya'. I was thinking of just setting up OM Super Squirt and putting two Vortech's in there. I'm still up in the air on my flow. Good thing about that is I can always upgrade flow as I go.

Well, not really much to report, so far. Been busy with life, work, college, being a dad and hubby... the normal stuff. :)

I did do one HUGE thing though... I brought this beast into the house! Good God it's bigger than I thought! I hosed it out in the front yard, too. Trust me... just doing this much was a huge feat today!

It sits fairly level as it is but you never know until you test fill it. I'll do that later... Right now, I'm sore...

Good thing I been working these guns out!

So, I ended up moving the tank to a different location and just wanted to show some shots of the tank as of yesterday. I've had some ups-and-downs, but it's all been worth it. Let me know what you think. :)
