Hey HorseyStripe, gimme a call (I sent my number in a PM). I have a perfect tank and am home all day so I can watch it. I also have a controller I can hook up to it to maintain everything in spec. The only things I need are a skimmer, T5 bulbs and the sand to get it started up. Some dosing pumps would be nice too...

My tank is from a project I tried to get off the ground awhile back, 66 x 42 x 10 with a 75g refugium. I still have the CaRx and T5 endcaps that were donated and ballasts to run it all.

Let me know if you're interested!

Not to mention those offering equipment might as donate it. The wear and tear of extra use could eventually destroy it. They must be willing to let it go.

Tank cracked and broke while caretaker was at work.

Im home all day and a student within walking distance to my home in the evening when my wife is here to watch it !

Most of us do not make any money back from this hobby. If we do, it's no where near the price we have invested. We take the lost, because it's a hobby and we have the enjoyment of having the ocean in our homes. This new plan requires you to possibly invest and possibly be on the losing end.

I don't think any of us are on the losing end of a plan like this, even if you don't participate. Every coral we grow at home is one less plucked from an ocean somewhere...

here we are...i guess the first thing we need, again, is someone who can take care of the "mother-tank"

I'm your man, pretty central for everyone who has expressed interest in participating and I'm home all day. Not to mention I already had permission from my wife to set it up before I saw this thread.

And not that I'm complaining but if you're going to make this a MEMBERS ONLY program you may want to consider moving it to a forum not viewable to those who aren't paid members yet. Just a thought...
