Had a little time on my hands this afternoon. Went to Fishland and bought a cool purple/green shroom rock, got a single flourescent green shroom on a piece of rubble for free, and picked up a sack of rubble to start the xenia fragging. Came home, completely rearranged my tank and decided to start in on the weed, errr xenia.
After watching the GARF video, and wondering aloud to no one in particular, I decided that I could do this. Attacking the smaller of my two rapidly expanding colonies, I immediately stripped them from their perches. Using sharp scissors, with the moral support of Farouk (cat), I began. Stuff cuts easily enough and soon I had ten of what was once two. Wife had some bridal veil/tool?sp, so I tried that with the first five and affixed them (ala GARF) to the various pieces of rubble that I brought home. They looked kinda squished, so for the next five I decided to go with the "squish and bind" method using rubberbands. "Squish and bind" is just like it sounds. Take a frag, squish it into a hole in a piece of rubble, then put a rubber band around it to hold it in place. (Try not to cut it in half with the rubber band, just tight enough to hold it in place)
Voila, done. Bud Light time. Update in the morning.
Mongoose.
