ok so i got 5 cardinals about a month ago from fish schooler one had an eye infection and i treated till eye looked good then he died i did not see any marks or any rash or discolorization in the dead fish and my clownfish came down with what i think might be ich or flukes but I'm not sure since I've been keeping yey on the 4 cardinals and clown they show no symptoms and i fed them this morning and checked under the light and everything and just 5 minutes ago found their bodies at the bottom of the tank with very visible red streaks and discolorization and the clownfish looks less like ich and more like infection so i need help on what to do for sure im going to the nearest pet co and nuking the task with treatments (that don't interact) for what ever the ************ this is but it might be too late for glub glub the other fish so no sign anyone have suggestions
this has gone from healthy to dead in about a day and im very worried since my next prediction is my first fish who has survived all my screw-ups and successes and i know that this has been fast i have been daily checking every fish when i wake up and before i sleep

If you think there might be a virus in the tank put the temp. over 80 f for two weeks.... that should do it. Once a virus is in the tank it usually does not go away on it's own.

over 80 f will kill off the virus and not hurt your fish or corals. If you have only fish you have other options make sure the water is well airated warmer water does not hold as much oxygen I have found. this works for me.... it is better than using chemicals or starting from scratch.... If no corals or invertibrates lowering the salinity to 21 helps

bit over 80 is fine the longer the better 2 weeks should be fine put an air stone in it for airation I have done this and it works to kill viruses 30 gallons is rather small for a reef tank

You still have to monitor your fish tank with any tank you have to keep an eye on it check on how your scaly fish buddies are doing

Maybe wait till tomorrow till you can get an air stone If you see them start to huff and puff it may be a sighn of not enough o2 in the water then they might die
