cool......... it must then be a tassle file fish or sometimes called a leaf or prickly leather jacket filefish. 1/2 the places I found info on said it was reef safe and the other 1/2 said it was not. I am not going to risk it and keep it in my small tank. This guy is cool but if it get as big as it is supose to 12inches..... then I will have to find him a new home. Untill then I will enjoy him. Thanks for your help...... :p

That is not a Tassled Filefish, it is however a type of filefish. Some get HUGE like 3 feet, and some only get to around 4 inches. They eat similar foods that triggers do, so it might not be a good idea to risk it with inverts.

1st pic.- The fish on the left is a silverside. Not sure about the fish on the right, looks like some kind of killifish possibly, family Cyprinodontidae

2nd pic-Filefish. Note sure what species though. Can you get a side-view pic of it?

My first thought was that the fish on the right looks like a Lucania parva, or rainwater killifish. I first thought Gambusia (mosquito fish) but the fins are wrong.
