i know it may be against our hobby, but in reality it will drive more breeding efforts. increase the scope of available captive bred specimens, hardier fish etc. so there are some pros as well. and while everyone is going to go crazy buying 300 yellow tangs for about 1-2 years, the market will meet demand and overcompensate driving prices down again. my expectation given todays facts, is that the price will settle somewhere in the $100 retail range after a few years which is profitable to breeders, fair and accessible to the average hobbyist. but that's just me, your average hobbyist thinking out loud.
