Really? I just now found out about this storm. I have a solid person taking care of my tank, but I hope NOLA doesn't flood. I feel like it gets knee deep whenever the sky turns gray.

Between the 12" and 20" of rain in 12 hours from Saturday till Sunday.
That is if the fake weather news stations are right.
One thing is true we need it as Hunting grounds in west Texas are dry and that rain is a great welcome with a little over a month to go for opening season.

My wife and I are seriously considering not going, which really sucks. We may be being overly cautious, but between the tanks and house, worrying about not being able to get back for work, and a daughter who is two months into a kidney transplant, there is a lot to think about.

The place I work at has its own team of meteorologists. There still is no center to the storm which makes it difficult to predict, but they're currently expecting weak hurricane/strong tropical storm to hit between Corpus and Victoria late Friday or early Saturday. They're expecting 6-8 inches of rain each day and some areas up to 15 inches, and then another 6 or so inches late Monday into Tuesday as it heads towards Louisiana.

You guys should reconsider-there could be some evacuations-not sure how accurate is the news.

I am beginning to take this more seriously. I have set up my RKE controller to be accessed from anywhere and ran the extension cords from the generator to the fridge and tank. If I am not here, I just need my dad to start it up and move the extension cords.

Route there looks reasonable for tomorrow when I'm leaving. Potentially heavy weather on the way back late Sunday.

I'll wait it out a day in NOLA or come back early, if needed.

If it floods or we loose power in Houston, I'm not sure what more I can do if I'm here the whole time. I'm going to check the back siphon holes for if the power goes out, and hope the batteries in one of the back-up will last until I can get back and switch to bait bubblers. Time to check and replace batteries.
