ok, i like it.
one more option though, how about pushing the center back a little, this will give you some room on the sand/bottom of the tank for other corals and room for swimming.

but keep the two ends the way you have it now.

I have never heard anyone say they think their rock work is perfect. That's one of those things you look at and either change because you can't resist or leave alone because moving it is a PITA with all the corals, etc.

Play with it until you're moderately satisfied but be aware you'll likely never think it perfect.

the one with the rods, leave them, just push the rocks in the center back like you did in the one i posted, then see if you like that. I know what you are trying to do, just trying to give the tank a little depth.

we have water....yeah.

Ok, first off id like to thank Andy. Andy, thank you for the pump, works great. I was able to make a working pump out of the 2. Still a little loud, but fuctionable.

Second, we now have water in the tank, but side note, it all has to come out now cuz tank is way too uneven...due to it being as uneven as it is, the left over flow is having to keep up with the flow of water the pump is pushing at it. Here's were I need some experienced help. Once I drain the tank I need to some how level this beast. The plumbing is only tempory, (as of now) any way here's some pics...

Enjoy

Filing of tank (here u can start to notice how unlevel it is)

If anyone is willing to help level this beast, it would be greatly appriceiated..just tell me ur price, or beer or what ever...

Thanks,
John

couple of questions:
How un-even is it? looks even in the pic.
you may be able to simply shim it with wood shims from HD or lowes.
how much flow is your pump rated for, you can simply dial it back.
is it the stand that's un-even or the floor?
always do a level check before placing your tank on your stand, this goes for anyone reading this. then do another level check after you place the tank on the stand.

Ok, with pumps off and water drained back as if a power outage, the left side level is even with the black trim, right side is 5/8 in lower than trim. Its the floor of my apt. That is unlevel. The pump is rated 1200 gph I believe (forgot) (its the gen-x MAK4) I tryed dialing it back, but with the level issue, the right over flow, never overflows. It all flows to the left one.

Here's a pic of water line with pump off. Sorry bout the lighting...
Look close ull see it. It looks more worse in person than in pic.

Hell it has to b if it won't over flow both over flows... :? :? :? :?

Oh yeah its on a carpeted floor, yes I know never put tank on carpet but no choice I live in a apt...lol

go to lowes and get you a 4 x4 sheet of 3/4 inch plywood. get someopne to cut it to the width of the stand for you, actually lowes can do it for you after you pay for it. 3/4 inch wood is actually 5/8's you can use that as a shim.

Ok tank is drained. But here's a pic with a level...

O and felix, how long should the plywood be? The stand is 72"x19 1/4" counting the little trim at bottom of stand

I think I would find a bigger level. ;)

Lol. Yea I know. That's just one the came with my tool set. It was off more than that, but I found a piece of 1/2" plywood that I through under the stand on the left side. (That's wut the level is at now) I then refilled the tank and I am now getting water into the right over flow. But the left one is still taking most of the water. I'm gonna go to HD tmrw after work and pick up the 3/4" felix mentioned. Just don't know how long to have it? But ill redrain tank tmrw and relevel and then refill...ahh that's a lot of work..

Width wise, you want it same as the stand.
how long you need it to be will be determined by when it's leveled. you prpobably won't need more than 12 inches but i can't say that with certainty.

What noise? The noise of the pump or the water flowing into the sump?

Since you don't have a separate refugium, you don't really want to cut back on the flow.

You're gonna have a hard time replacing those filter socks...

Noise from the pump.. and yes I said the same thing about the socks. Kevin at all about fish built it for me, after I put the skimmer in I called him about the sock issue. He said to just squeeze them between the skimmer. Not likeing that but wut can I do????? Its already built and paid for!

What is the water height of the second chamber? If its the recommended height of the skimmer, then switch it around. That is having the rock in the first chamber and skimmer in the second. The sock will be very hard to get out when its clog up.

First chamber is made for the skimmer, kevin put a stand in for the skimmer to sit on. Second chamber is for the fuge, rock isn't staying there just didn't want it in the display just yet as I didn't add the sand yet.

My other concern is the thickness of the acrylic he used, wen sump is full (power out) it bows out pretty bad. I'm worried the sump will split over time.

Thinking about seeing if any members here wouldn't mind euro braceing it for me
