You could always put unions below the 90's if you don't want to cement the pipe.

The next station I build I'm doing like this for the mixing.

I think I have to agree with radar on this. Your salt will mix quicker in turbulent water over water spinning like a tornado. I've tried it both ways and it seems the turbulent mixing dissolves the salt and become clear water quicker than spinning it in a circle. You also get more surface agitation when it's turbulent which helps aerate the water and release gasses from the salt dissolving.

I haven't done it that way, but it looks like it would work. I know salt settles on the bottom, and if the flow is strong enough, it should mix it up. I agree that directional changes would be nice. I wonder if anybody has ever used two pumps to mix. One like above to mix the stuff on the bottom and one designed for turbulent flow in different directions.

I use a mag 9.5 on the bottom of my 44/G brute. Gets er done fast. I should design some pipe coming out of the outlet.

You can make something with (4) 1/4 outlets and that should still net you maximum output from your pump and give you good velocity out of your nozzles.

One of these days I'm going to make a mixing station in my garage. I'd love to have 2 100 gal containers in my garage for mixing saltwater and storing R/O. Heck it would be nice to get 2 200 gal. That way I could fill it up to a certain point and just dump an entire bucket of salt in. No more measuring scoops of salt. :D

THAT would be awesome! I'm going with the 105 and the 75...I kind of want to do both 105. Those are only 23" in diameter, the 105 and 75 that is.

Or better yet...an entire box! You would need some that were 300/G for a box!

Seems like there's always something to do.

There is...which can be fun or a headache. I finally got my system back up with a lot of MOD's and I'm liking it. Only thing I wanna do now is upgrade to a 180/G. Lol

naw, in due time, but not now. I just need to build a new external overflow box. That's about it.
