Sweet! How are the other frags doing?

Pretty good for the most part. There was one, the del fuego, that RTN'ed one night and all I have left is one tiny spec of green, but maybe it will recover. The Walt Disney is very healthy but the color is nothing to write home about - pale green with a bluish base, nothing like the JF picture. The Miyagi tort pictured several posts back was one from this pack - it is doing great with growth and color.

Here is the PC rainbow. It has made itself right at home growing onto the rock.

The strawberry shortcake is pretty but it's strange how it has encrusted so well on one side but not the other. I know there is a lot of algae on the plug right now, but I'm sure the other side was just as bad and Acropora are usually pretty good at fighting off algae.

The strangest one is this tri-color valida. One day a patch of tissue on the back side disappeared. I dipped it and it remained the same for a while, then recently the RTN went all the way around. The top and bottom still look great and are growing.

I seem to recall a thread a while back talking about RTN that forms in a ring around SPS just like this. I seem to recall that a few frags that MG received came down with it. It has a specific name, but I can't recall what it is at the moment. I will see if I can find the thread and repost for you.

It hit me that the title of this thread includes "fish room" but I've never posted a picture of more than one tank at a time. Since I cleaned both tanks in case I wound up showing them on the virtual tour yesterday, I figured now is as good a time as any. I love how the ultra wide-angle lens makes the 7' tank look more like 10'. I just got the big yellow tang from @reeftopia on Friday.

Nice!
That's where I would spend most of my time in the house.

Thanks! Yeah, it's a great place to relax. Plus, I can see the big tank from my office, so I can enjoy it all day while I work.
Who in gods name looks at their tank and relaxes?!! I get angry, amped, excited, amazed, etc, but never relaxed! Haha

Looks like a lot of work with both tanks. What different about the two tanks.

The 294 is the full reef tank and gets 90% of my attention. The 150 is sort of the "leftovers" tank - it contains the fish from the old 90 I used to have and extra anemones that I don't want to put back in the reef tank. That's not to say the fish in there aren't special - I've had that clownfish for 15 years, and the damsels and royal gramma for 9-11 years. There are no corals in there except a few mushrooms, so I don't need to do a lot of water testing with that tank. I really should take more advantage of the lack of corals and get some fish that I couldn't have in the reef tank, but I just can't decide exactly what I want to do with it.

But wait...there's more. In the corner of the room where I was standing to take the picture, there is a 90 gallon cube tank that I also can't decide what to do with. So far it has just been a QT tank, but at some point I need to do something more interesting with it or get rid of it.

And to top it all off, in my office there is a 29 gallon cichlid tank and a 20 community FW tank, and my wife has four 1.5 gallon betta tanks. So yes, we have a problem. lol

Sell all the tanks but the main one, get a very large, shallow tank, and do stingrays.

Haha, Yeah that's a lot to keep up with. You should post some pictures of the other tanks.

Unfortunately the other tanks are not very photo-worthy, especially after seeing the ADG tanks on the virtual tour. The 20 has nothing but one swordtail and a synodontis catfish, and the light is acting up so only the blue light works now. Maybe I should get some glowfish. The cichlid tank is not too exciting either, although if I could get a video of my peacock and Bricardi doing their "no contact sparring", that would be pretty funny. And one of my wife's bettas died a few weeks ago, so one of the four tanks is empty at the moment.

Since we can only submit one pic for the PE contest, I'll post some of my other contenders here.

The tricolor is recovering nicely from whatever caused the RTN in the middle.

If the contest was for the largest ratio of PE to total live tissue, this del fuego that nearly died might win.

The banana is more polyp than skeleton.

Did a 30% water change on the 150 today after 3-4 weeks of Fluconazol treatment. As the new water was being added, some type of algae on the side glass went nuts and became fluorescent orange and started spreading out or releasing spores or something. It looked really cool. As soon as I turned the MP-10 back on, it dissipated and was no fun anymore.

I believe this helps solidify my status as the King of Algae. lol Sometimes I feel like in my 30 years of SW tanks, I have had every algae known to science, and probably a few undiscovered species as well.

Either that, or I accidentally dumped some nuclear waste in my tank.

Tried experimenting with just the blue and violet lights and some yellow darkroom filters I had laying around. I often find the colors in orange filter pics look a little over-saturated, plus I don't have an orange filter.

I wish all my Acros grew as fast as this Myagi tort.

Here it is on November 8 of last year, shortly after I got it. Horrible picture, but gives some idea of its size.

Here it is today. I will probably have to frag it and/or the Hydnophora soon as they are getting very close to each other.
