These corals shown are from high light high surge reef areas. They will probably "ecomorph" into a much different shape and color in a home aquarium.

It will be interesting to see what happens. Keep us posted!

Cheers

Those are so bright I think they burned my eyes. Next time I'll wear my welding hood.

Cool corals.

Edward,
Place those Stags up high, close to the light to keep color.

So you have no problem shelling out big bucks for these large colonies but you find problems with donating a miniscule amount to help the club maintain itself?

Someone had to say it.

It's looks great btw... :D

I have my reasons and I am not going to turn this thread into a battlefield. Instead of trying to run people away from the club, why dont you try posting positive comments.

I think where Chris is coming from is that some of us are baffled by your expensive purchases, which you proudly showcase here on the MARSH site, but you won't support the club with a mere $30 in dues. Your dues in part pay for this site, which you in turn use to sell and trade frags. The only reason you are being singled out in this thread, although it applies to everyone here, is that it appears that you have a generous budget for your hobby but have chosen not to support the club with dues, which I know many people find curious. :?

If you wish to decline to answer, that's fine, of course, but it would be really great if you could shed some light on this situation as your reasons for not supporting MARSH may be shared by other non-members, and that would really help us to refine our membership goals.

I dont think it should matter to anyone how i spend my money. Thats my personal business.

The website is FREE to ANYONE. And so is any other reef website. There shouldnt be any argument as to what and how i post. or is there? I'll stop showcasing my purchases. Didnt think it was such a big deal, but it seems like a lot of people have been biting there tongue. Its a shame people cant share their experiences with others who have the same interests.

I wasn't aware that I was running people away from the club. :?

No one here cares where and how you spend your money, it is your personal business. I simply find it comical that you had to criticize what little income the club receives with your spending habits. ;)

Honestly, even I felt a little sucker punched by Chris's post. There are many of us out here who can use a resourse like the website (which is very nice). It has already been discused that the MARSH sponsor discounts, while nice, are somewhat devalued by getting to know the owners of LFS, who already give great prices. Secondly, not everyone is able(or wants) to enjoy the monthly meetings and raffles, leaving no preceived value. All that's left is to justify paying 30 bucks for access to a public website.

Perhaps MARSH could have a $15 membership, for those who only want to support the website. You can label them Web Members or something.
