Nobody is running you off, Edward, and that has been made abundantly clear. The only question was is WHAT'S HOLDING YOU BACK FROM JOINING MARSH? I had hoped to glean some insight into why you haven't joined as I thought it might be applicable to why others might be holding back too. You answered the question voluntarily and I thank you.

Quoc, I don't see why you are so angry. The definition of "advantage" is "benefit" and we all benefit from this site. We all use this site for some kind of personal gain. Some of us pay for it and some of us don't. Nobody is being coerced into joining; I was just curious why Edward hadn't (for the tenth time).

I would like to say that everyone is welcome to visit and use the website. As long as the rules are followed there shouldn't be a problem. We are all very passionate about our hobby and anytime you get a group together there are going to be different points of views. I can only hope that everyone respects the others ideas and reasons for doing what they do. Having our own point of view and the freedom to express it is what makes this country great. In a since we are all right.

This club is dedicated to continual improvement, making it members happy, and elevating the hobby. Whether you choose to join or not is up to you. I would however like to hear ideas on what MARSH could do to change your mind if you have not chosen to become a member. We cannot fix it, if we don't know it's broken. We all want to see every person who visits the site become members. We do however understand that this is not financially possible all the time. If you take the time to write or call I promise to do what I can to make MARSH a place you want to call home.

In the end, take what you read here with a bucket of salt (redsea, corallife, kent. etc.) and try not to let it get to you. I look forward to hearing from you or reading your mail.

I'm upset b/c what happened to Invincible could have happened to me or any "GUEST" here. In fact, I posted some rose anemone (rather expensive) pics and some sale items here recently, and "someone" might just jump in and asked why i could pay $100 for a rose but not $30 for the club... I really worry that would happen to me in the future pics posting now :-x

If the board or someone want to know the reason why Invincible doesn't join the club, they could have just sent him a PM and discussed it privately. In this case, some "PAID" and "respectable" MARSH members jumped right into and stole Invincible's own thread (which had no thing to do w/ the membership) and TELL everybody that he could pay hundreds of $$$ for the corals but don't want to join the membership.. I bet Invincible had no clue about what they were going to do to him, since they never ask him that question privately. What's the point of that action here? And now you tell him being so sensitive

In fact, if the board really want to know the reason why the non-members don't want to join, they could post a general thread addressed to everyone and ask them the reason why. And if the "guests" feel like to respond, then they can respond the the board privately. I bet no "guests" would like to be asked individually about that matter - it's annoying. Just like sometimes you go to the fish stores to look around and ends up not wanting to buy anything there, and the saleman there just keeps going after you, and even ask "hey, you look rich, why can't you buy anything from us" :-x

I would encourage you that have not joined or renewed to tell us what we need to do to get your membership in a separate thread and forum. We can only change with your help. The $30 won't make or break the club but when someone pays they feel like they have something invested in the club and are more apt to participate in person. I honestly feel bad that this topic started in this way. A hypothetical question to non-members, in a different thread, would have been much more appropriate (and would have been a more productive conversation) rather than singling out one person. This club could not be succesfull unless we allowed "Guests" on our website. I would never had joined MARSH if this was a "Pay to Play" site.

If you will not say to the person's face what you type here you are in the wrong. I find it petty that too many times people hide behind their computer and fight battles they would not fight in person.

I would appreciate if members and non-members a like would give this new board a chance. When we met for the first time a week ago we had a very long productive meeting on how we can build more value into this club for you, the member or the prospective member. This club has entered a new period, we are growing and changes are happening. One should have appluaded the fact that we had our first contested elections.

I will guarantee you that this will be the BEST year ever for MARSH.
What a kick off the Holiday Party was if you did not go you have to go next year. It was so much fun to see the women behind the men that spend there life saving on 5 sided glass boxes. I can't wait till the collecting trips come up, another tank tour and I get the cash that will be in my pocket come frag swap.

The awesome thing about this site is we all share ONE thing in (problem) common. We all have the same desire to blow all our hard earned cash on all things salt water.

When you sit down with a flash light at tonight; just think how small your and the clubs problems are when you see the amazing and mysterious creations God has given us.

Can I get an Amen my fellow brothers and sisters...Member or Non-Member be excited what this club will bring you in the next year. May God bless your fish keep them from ill and all your frags grow in abundance. I leave you my brothers and sisters of salt water to scrape more algae off of my blessed tank.
