As most of you may have already noticed we have stepped into the way-back machine and all data has been reset to July 20th, 2012.

I'm working to get more recent data but unfortunately I've run into a problem with the database backups so I'm working to see if I can pull the tables manually.

To answer a few questions I know will be coming.

  1. Yes this now means we are going to switch hosting companies.
  2. Yes I am extremely irritated right now. (Should be I was up till 2AM fighting with them.)
  3. No we apparently do not have much recourse but to say give us our money back and take our business somewhere else.

Feel free to post questions, suggestions, rants (remember family site), and whatever else pops into mind.

ditto. Sorry. If you need help running down new hosting companies after MACNA let me know. Will be happy to help out. LOL at least all of the crazy stuff I said is gone :loco: but all of the elegant prose are gone as well:doh:

I'm running them down right now. Comparing prices and figuring out how to pay for it since I'm sure it will take some time to get the money back from PowerVPS. We prepay for our service to get the discount but 'ya get whatcha pay for'....

John- I am an attorney and deal mostly with contracts, would be willing to review the contract (obviously no charge) to verify our position with them if you want to send it to me. Probably no consequential damages but direct costs are usually a different story. PM me if you want me to look it over. Jeff

Thanks for all of the hard work John. Again, I would like to recommend www.inmotionhosting.com since they are reasonably priced, don't host porn(so they have less traffic), and actual people answer the phone whenever I call. I have been using them since 2004 and never had an outage. The only time one of my sites has been down is when I did something wrong. Also, they use tools you are familiar with like cpanel, etc.

I just asked their CEO (neXeon Tech) and he just wants to know what your space/bandwidth needs are per month as how much you were paying previously for your last service and he'd try to match something out. If you could PM me and I'll hook you up if you want!
