Yes! Thank all of the BODs for making this happen! We enjoyed it and picked up some nice frags! Next we need an ID thread because I have no idea what I picked up! All corals are doing great!

Glad somebody started a thread on this as I was just about to. Many thanks for all those involved in putting this show together. You did a rocking job! And a many thanks to all of the vendors that brought so many nice frags, and sponsors that donated so many nice raffle items. You will not be forgotten.

I haven't figured out how yet, but some of you guys somehow were gaming the raffle.........:nono: I bought way too many tickets not to have won something..haha

Ditto on ID.... I have a bunch I have no idea what they are. I was fine when I only had a few frags but 12 more later I totally forgot the names of some of them haha

Oh and I know I'm not part of the BOD but any way to find out how many people bought tickets, except the couple extra I bought for no reason haha. Just curious what the number of vendors and attendees was.

Thanks everyone! I had a great time, spent way to much money and I'm with you LOL somebody was gaming the raffle... I didn't win diddly squat...

We are planning on it being an annual event and it is our hope that it will be larger in year two.

While I had a total blast. I do understand that this is the shows first year so I know it will grow into something great, I had a bit of trouble whole trying to listen to the guest speakers and people constantly leaving the hall, and the kids running around was a bit distracting. Also maybe to run the raffle smoother next time it might be a good idea to have all prizes upfront at the stage and as you go up one person verifies your number and another hands you the prize rather than running around from front to back and causing a traffic jam. Wasn't a good feeling to be standing in line waiting to claim a prize and them announcing that Bob had already began speaking. Like I said not bashing I know things will improve. It was a great event and such a great turn out. Excited to see a show in Houston. Keep up the good work!

Just FYI, there was more to it than that. If you won something we wanted to get a photo. I know I didn't mind being since I actually won something for a change.... Yes there are always lessons learned from anything, which is why each annual event will be better. Hope to see you next year at the 2nd ANNUAL WOOOOOOORRLLLDDD FAMOUS REEF CURRENTS haha :)

Oh I completely understand just think it could of been done other ways. I was not an organizer of the even and it being the first event I'm sure there were bigger things in their minds. The second raffle went a lot smoother towards the end. Just hated to walk in late into the hall while the guys where up there speaking, felt disrespectful. It's all a learning experience, for all of us:

I temperature acclimated my frags, dipped them in iodine killed a few worms, rinsed in RO and plopped them into the system. Seems i just heard about this somewhere......but in my defense only because the quarantine tank is 3 weeks old and has no lights yet. And now i am sweating bullets because the $50 eye is shedding some mucus...Hope it is nothing more than its rough ride to my house and the last steps of getting it ready for the system. Hopefully i'll have good things to say about it in the morning

Guess I'll be scrutinizing mine next. I'm still acclimating but also doing some work on my tank before they go in. Hope they are free and clear...
