When did you set up your AWC system? Are you using that Cole Parmer that you got from me?

Its planned for the display tank. [emoji58]

Stenner dual head pump. Cole Parmer is for yet to be implemented calc reactor on same tank.

Do you have a pic of your set up so that I can copy.

For what it's worth, here is my RODI setup for my 400g tank.

6 stage RODI. The hose hanging on it is used to fill up my Brute trash cans with wheels.
IMG_4804.jpg

The RODI goes directly to my 50g reservoir which is on a shelf above my washer. It has an auto shutoff for when it gets full.
IMG_4805.jpg

There is a 600 gph pump inside, controlled by a wall switch, to pump the water from the RODI storage container to the salt mix container.

Once the salt mix container is full, salt is added and there is another 600 gph pump inside the salt mix container, also controlled by a wall switch, to mix the salt.

When its time for a water change, I wheel the Brute on wheels to the mixing station, fill it up, and roll it to the tank. The line just inside the lip of the brute is 25 gallons. I have two of these. I siphon the first one using a 1" hose and fill it to the line. Then, with the second Brute with fresh saltwater already by the tank, I plug in the pump and pump the new water into the tank while I am emptying the freshly siphoned one out. I have timed it and I can do a 25g water change in 10 minutes, assuming no glass cleaning or other maintenance. I do water changes twice weekly, 25 gallons each time. And with it only taking 10 minutes, I can do it during a commercial break.

Saturdays are reserved for tank maintenance so I spend a little more time cleaning the tank then.

Also, how do you do maintenance on your saltwater container? I have multiple brutes right now so that I can always ensure each is clean. Need help with this situation...

Most of the crud stays on the bottom and sides no its never an issue with me. It doesn't get into my water change water. About once a year, I will carry the 50g container outside, turn it over, and rinse the junk out of it. Its easy to handle a 50g tank. Not so easy to wrestle a 200-300g tank. And to tell you the truth, I've cleaned mine once in 5 years. Not really an issue to have to bother with very often.

Webster, you have a lot of faith in your shelving above your washer and dryer. What did you do to brace it to hold the weight?

Did you miss the steel cable middle support connected to a stud in the ceiling? I missed it at first myself.

You're getting old Steve, I spotted it on my phone. That or you need to upgrade your flip phone. [emoji12]

I see it now too, but I'm surprised just a single cable and some side supports are able to keep this from crashing down.

You guys have some fancy stuff. Baby steps for me. I know how to change the filters and just put the booster in. Going to get myself an rodi container for now and put the float valve in. Wait for the baby welder in my house to make me stands then go from there.

My wife would never let me do that lol.. I'm lucky to be able to run 1/4" and 3/8" ro/di lines along the baseboard behind the washer dryer lol..

It's really not that hard to figure out. Just look at the shear strength of the screws used to hold the 2x4's to the wall, multiplied by the number you have screwed in. Also look up the strength of the 3/16 stainless cable and the pullout strength of the eye bolts used. As long as all together will support 800 lbs (the weight of 100 gallons of water), you're good to go. I always make sure my shelves will support at least twice what I plan to put on it. I like to play it pretty safe.

My mothering law still has a flip phone. I didn’t realize they still make them. Just just got a new one[emoji2][emoji12]

Here is a picture of my setup. I will have to get another picture where I have it all plumbed. Top is auto-top off. The middle is my salt mixing container and the bottom is for the auto-water change. With the turn of a few valves I can move the water from container to container.

Is that a 9-stage I spy in the background? I thought I was paranoid at 8-stages. What filters are you running in the white RO canisters?

I must be lucky with my water source. I run a 5 stage with no problems. My DI probably has had about 500g run through it and it still reads 0 at output.
