IORC because it’s cheap and the Mag and Cal or elevated which I like. If the Alk was 8.0 it would be perfect, but it’s not.
It will precipitate bad if you let your temp get too high in the reservoir. You can clean it up with an air-stone.
That’s what I do. Seachem Acid Buffer is my go to. I used to use acid, but it’s just a pain in the butt using PPE constantly. Now I only use acid to clean calcium carbonate deposits.I’ve been dosing pH buffer to bring my alk down when mixing my salt water. Luckily I do enough water changes I know how much to add to make the alk about 8

Yeah, I’d use that if they came down on price.RS blue bucket mixes to around 8. That’s what I use

Rico’s tank crashed from low nutrients. He was a dry rock virgin. I saw that coming from a mile away.Using Fritz right now but not sure how much longer. Rico's giant tank crash kind of scared me away from them. Might go back to RedSea Blue bucket.
After two hour of mixing it was still like this.
It’s was a salt I was using. Not gonna put the brand out there.
Yeah I’m no longer using that brand. Mag 700 pump.Did you add enough water? What size is the mixing pump. Gezz, that is super cloudy. That’s not even precipitation. That’s just not mixed or mixing well. Did you switch salt brands or you still using it?
That’s good. Whatever it was it didn’t look good at all. A Mag 7 would have easily got that mixed quick. Reef Crystal’s and Regular IO mix decently for the price. Regardless of what BRS says...IO is good salt that is probably the most popular of all the brands. This is due to its low cost.Yeah I’m no longer using that brand. Mag 700 pump.
