Marco seemed to really like his setup. You can reach him over at R2R if you have any questions or wanna ask if he would go with the same system or maybe something different now.

I've never heard of this Poseidon system before until Jared just posted that video. Looks awesome! I am also very curious what folks think of it. And Steve, you asked one person but I am also curious what all folks are doing with their cultures. I have a mandarin that I'm thinking about doing pod cultures for as well as baby brine shrimp. I've done the dump the pods in the fuge thing but the Poseidon system takes that to a WHOLE different level. Very intrigued indeed!

I remember Marco crashed his first culture. Make sure you wear sterile gloves and don’t cross-contaminate them or you’ll have issues. I’m sure they’re all about the same.

The Poseidon system is indeed very nice. Many can certainly build DIY versions, but I wanted something off the shelve and with a warranty.
It is very clean and simple, plus they will send you a culture pack for free (You pay S&H) if you crash it.

For phyto, it is really a no-brainer. I have not yet (knock on wood) crashed my cultures. Make sure you select the proper tank size as you would like to harvest on a weekly basis and taking this into consideration, it is a LOT.

For pods, taking into consideration the size of my system, I had to harvest at least 2 times before there was a decent amount in the siege. After the 3rd harvest, I had a TON of pods. After a while, I stopped harvesting, but I will start soon.

PROS:

It Works!

CONS:
Buy the larger fertilizer pack
Need to order culture packs. Wish there were more included for the price
You may get away without culture bags, but it may be a p.i.t.a to get the glass clean and not crashing the harvest
