Thanks.... I did not realize they were the fish they just did not look the same as the first batch so I did not keep the ones that hatched out on Saturday. I just put them in the sump in the refug section is at. But I am moving that saucer over to that spot and hope she will lay the next batch on it so I can take it out of the tank and not go through that again.

Well finally Mrs. Nemo laid batch #3 it was a very good size too but after I went back to check on them they are eating tv hem more then they did on batch #2.

I have been following along... My true percs ate all of their first batch. That was on Sat. So I am hopping that in about 10 more days I will have another batch and we will see if mother and father learned anything from the first time around.

One question though. My eggs the first time around were kind of white with maybe a slight hint of yellow or orange, but no where near as bright orange as I have seen on some Youtube videos. Do you know if this is normal and if not how do I correct that? I am feeding Mysis, enriched brine shrimp and NLS pelets.

I think it is because they are True Perc and not the fancy clownfish... Mine have always been a very light orange color.
Their first batch they ate a few, second batch a very tiny amount and now the 3rd batch that I have been waiting for a long time they ate all of them and it would have been a fairly large batch too. So I do not understand why they did that. Unless they are extremly hungry but I alway feed heavy..

No problems on the typo's I do that all the time when I am using the phone... I thought that too with more batches they would not eat them but I do not know why they ate all of them this time around. I don't even know when to expect her to lay again now that they ate batch 3.

On my first batch it was either 4 or 5 days after the eggs hatched is when they laid batch #2 and 14-15 days went by before they laid batch #3 after batch #2 had hatched. Well I pulled out the magnifing glass and looks like maybe 50 eggs still remain for now. I hope they have stopped eatting them.

Any updates on the remaining eggs. Is daddy tending the eggs or is he being a dead beat father?

I wander why. You would think they would be getting better at it. The day before hatch day were you able to see the eyes and stuff like that?

Yes and some silver was forming as well so I knew they would be hatching... I do not understand maybe someone here with more experience can shime in...
Only other thing I was thinking was maybe they are not getting enough food or do not like what I have been feeding this time around and maybe just extermely hungrey. And with my luck they will probably lay batch number 4 tomorrow while I am out running errands.
