Pearland has had a few sprinkles, no wind to speak of at all. I was kind of hoping for some heavier rain so I didn't need to water the lawn!

I hope everyone east of here is safe, looks like a pretty well developed TS.

ok, so it's upgraded to a hurricane. what's funny is a bunch of houston area schools got canceled, but the colleges here on gavleston are still having classes. that sucks.

Well after those first squalls, after it made that hard right turn we settled down and got NUTHIN'!!

My youngest daughter is so mad because her older sister's college classes were cancelled and she still has to go to elementary school! Kimmie doesn't think this is fair!

Hello

Well its obvious that they can't hear or see us unless they have a note book lab top computer with a air card to sign in on, no power over there. I hope their power comes back up to get all our friendly cridders back to normal. I woke up about 5:30 and turned on tv and said wow.. what the heck hurricane,,,uuuugggg. Those thing are sometimes so unpredictable.

Beaumont....Port Arthur got hit hard, but where my son lives in Bridge City got it the worst....Several trees and power lines down. They had sustined winds around 80mph and gusts as high as 97mph. They've been told by Entergy they won't have power until at least Monday. Luckily they only got about 4-5 inches of rain. Also, my father lives just east of the Texas-Louisiana border and he said they had about 60mph winds and will be without electricity until Sunday or Monday.

Here in Lumberton....we got maybe 2" of rain and we had sustained winds of around 25mph with gusts to about 40mph. Never lost power and all my critters and coral are happy for that.
