Great presentation about feeding Tubastraea (Orange Cup Coral) at the meeting last night!
I'd mentioned after the presentation that Orange Cub Corals can be found in Texas waters - so here's some photos! I took these shots on a rig-dive near the Flowergarden Banks National Marine Sanctuary:
And some close-ups:
Offshore in the Gulf, the tubastraea stay open during the day because of the strong steady current that brings them plankton and other food.
