Hello all, I have decided to copy the volcano tank, kinda foolish bit it's soo nice. I'm getting a custom acrylic 48"x24"x12" tank built by mike at a2f. I have been looking into the volcano for a while. Does anyone have any typ of recommendations if where I could get the rock to build the same type of structure??

Can anyone make me something like this??

LOL.... please tell story, thought you were having one built. Ben Su, Darkangel aka Building an Obession is the best in town right now for acrylic work, hands down.

E Marco cement and take your Marco dry rock.

best answer, you know were I am, come to the store with your rocks and e-marco and I will show you how to do it.
you will need some additional tools, A chisel for one and a rubber tub of some sort to mix the cement.

I won't build it for you, but I can guide you.

That tank had changed drastically. Those pics are from June 2010 and by October 2010 he no longer has the volcano look.

Now he has an above the water line lagoon and it looks good with all the life in it. He calls it the Basin Tank now. I wonder how high maintenance it is, mainly how hard it is to maintain everything located in the middle overflow that is hidden by the Basin.

I wish I had the room, I would build one of those in a heartbeat. Make is a 360 walk around and not up against a wall. A high ceiling is a must.

Volcano/Basin Tank

He still has pics and vids up on the Volcano Tank as well as the Basin Tank. Those crabs are awesome that run around in and out of the water.
