That's terrible! What do you keep your tank at? My heater basically doesn't ever turn on from March-October because of my UV and T5 bulbs keeping it toasty.

0.3+/- 78degrees. I have low lit radions and don’t run a lot of equipment since it’s only a 60. The floor the tank is on is set to 68 degrees so a heater is a must. My employees are on alarm duty every 40 min now at work. I think I have a spare heater at home so I’ll try that out once I get home. Neptune things there may be a problem with the EB832 but David at Urban thinks it’s a voltage issue since it’s malfunctioning at the 4th and 8th outlet.

Have you tried it on a different outlet?

4th and 8th apex outlet and also an outlet on a Tripp Lite industrial surge protector.
Any other outlet not 4th and 8th on the Apex? Those are the relay outlets on the old Apex energy bars at least and could cause some equipment to not power cycle on/off correctly.

I was told by Cobalt people to only use the 4th and 8th outlet 'as that is where the heater should always go'.

My 800 watt heater has been on my 3rd out for years with no issues but I'm no APEX expert. Just was curious if you've tried it on a different plug on the Apex.

I've got a spare heater at home. Going to try that one out first before tinkering with other things.

You are correct. The 4 and 8 have to have a high AMP load or they will not turn off and on.

Thank you David Rains. I know you are not on here, though I think you should be, I can sleep well tonight!

Which end of that dog is the head and which is the rear? Just looks like a ball of fur to me :noidea: :)

The head end is the one with two ears. It follows that the rear end has a tail. [emoji6]

I have not posted any pics of my tank in honor of my first born’s birthday lol. Now we’re back to every day life. Finally blacked out the bottom of my bottomless tank. Took 6 months of procrastination and 10 minutes of actual work.

Got my husband to set up my 8hr industrial battery. Apex plugged in to trip lite surge protector then plugged in to battery. Battery auto operational at any given time. This will be plugged in to a second and third battery set up in separate room in IT closet once 300 gal system is set up. All 3 batteries will give 24 hours of power to cumulative 400gal systems.
