Winter during the day.. Let me know when you cone down I will take you.I was reading through the last few pages I’d like to get about a dozen grass shrimp for pets in my sump and food for my hawkfish! Ima see if maybe in the middle of May if the weather permits I’ll go down there and do some collecting! For grass shrimp is that better to get at night or during the day?
Juvi. Spadefish.caught these the other day... sorry for the blurry pics they wouldn’t stop moving

If you are talking in the between sand bars off the beach.... You can also watch the fish swimming by and pipefish will float by also. There were many when I went I could see them all swimming in the current

Beautiful fish... That is a type of grunt I think it is a tomate or a pigfish?Yesterday...spanked the trout and lost a PB trout at the rocks. I’m guessing he was near 30”. He just came unhooked. I thought it was a red for the first 4 runs until he broke the surface and I saw the yellow inside his mouth and the purple sheen. Then I caught this pretty little guy.
Notice the LT vs RT side.
Say it ain't so..... When? I am down!!It's in the process of being organized as we speak, announcement to come as soon as the specifics are worked out

Winter time is better.. But any rocky surface.Anyone know a good spot to collect some macroalgae? I just set up a refugium and need to stock it.
You don't have to get wet.... Just let me know when you want to go!!I wish I could go collecting!
Yes they are free..... But that doesn't mean they don't have value!! Only take as many as you need please. That makes two of us. Honestly...you don't have to get wet. You can stay on top of the jetty. Most of the stuff is caught in the cracks. Although I have figured out were all the blenny's hand out. I can catch 20+ about every time if I want to. For some of the good larger blenny's you have to get your feet wet, but everything else is easy. It's just fun looking around with a LED flashlight. Everything is FREE! LOL.
I have some other spots that are less work and easier walking too.

What kind are you looking for? I have a few species you can have.
Thank you thank you... I was alittle confused because it has the sucker type fins under it's head.Yes definitely the spot at the base of the caudal fin is one of the key characteristics
Well i would know where to start collecting in a boat.I went out fishing this morning and caught a small (dinner plate sized) stingrays. Sorry, no pictures. I'm getting s new jonny boat in about a week and wouldn't mind trying to collect from it over a grass bed or something. Holds up to 400 lbs so I could take 1-2 people (deck space allowing).
Swing by the house one day... I have some ulva, cheato, red macro, and some dragons breath if I can find some. If thats not enough... We can go get you some more.Nothing in particular. It's all going into my wife's refugium.
