BTW your tanks colors are awesome!!I’m sure it needs a lower ph but my tank ph hits 8.46+ so that doesn’t bother me. This stuff lasts forever.

So your pushing more CO2 into the system. I’m afraid of that because my pH was already super low in my one bedroom apt if the CO2 scrubber wasn’t on.I’m using ARM coarse and that stuff hasn’t moved in 10mos! It barely depletes.
We must see pics to verify.BTW your tanks colors are awesome!!
Just cleaned out my reactor yesterday to refill it. Luckily, @gregg had a bag of reborn that he bought to use as rubble and I had about half a bag leftover from a year ago when I filled it. I’ve got about another year before I need to find more so I’m keeping my eyes open. What were you using and what are you using now. What have you tried? What was the difference? How did your corals respond?
Is it dissolving? Did you increase the drip rate? Did you have to increase your gas? pH more depressed now?
Did TLF loose their collecting spot or what? Was it COVID?
Will we ever have quality media again?!?
I saw that in the garage and was wondering.... I need to find some older reborn.Just cleaned out my reactor yesterday to refill it. Haha I put it out so people could see it just to rub it in their face.I saw that in the garage and was wondering.... I need to find some older reborn.
I’ve known multiple people that use their dead corals. I have some saved up that I will put in next year.thank you. I think they can get better.
so it’s common to run fla crushed coral in a second chamber. I’ve found that crushed coral on my second chamber depletes at about 1” in 2 months.
ive heard of a few shops running crushed coral as the only media in BOTH chambers.
any thoughts on running crushed solely?
I'm thinking of putting everything i lost in the freeze and break it up into small pieces and try.I’ve known multiple people that use their dead corals. I have some saved up that I will put in next year.

Research to be done. But I'm sure some process is done to ensure no bacterial issuesis it that easy or Is there an advised process? E.g. bleaching and rinsing several times?
From what I’ve seen, maybe a light rinse then throw it in. There might be some gunk at first, but like a bar of soap, as the exterior dissolves away, it reveals a fresh, clean surface.is it that easy or Is there an advised process? E.g. bleaching and rinsing several times?
Probably never be able to get all the phosphates out of it either... always something behind the scenes... was probably rock from FOWLR tank where phosphates build up and they leach for years in ur reef tank.Man he’s got some cheap dry rock!
