i run zeovit now... took my biopellets offline...

always had a problem with phosphate, they did a good job with nitrates but po4 varied too much.

I did notice my biopellets seemed more effiecient when i started dosing mb7... and laster prodibio.

not running mb7, might switch to bulk reef supply carbon and gfo.

All you need is some good GFO and some carbon to keep the water crystal clear.

One more thing, a dual chamber calcium reactor could be too much for a small tank with SPS frags. It will be tough to get your water parameters in line. You are better off with dosing pumps or just dose manually. Once the frags grow into colonies or at least mini colonies then you could use the calcium reactor.

This is a perfect size for a nice SPS tank. GL man.

Thanks! and i just suffered an epic fail.
i have to re-order the glass for the overflow, i drilled the holes too low, now the box needs to be taller, by an 1inch. i got the template from cichlid tx who did his build in the diy section. but i forgot to ask or look to see if the template was for the outside or in on the tank, apparently was was for the inside. this way the holes are closer to the top.
thank god the glass is cheap.

well, i found another glass company that was open today and got the new glass pieces for the overflow.
sadly it wqas double the price of the first one, but much nicer, IMHO. not sure what's in jack's glass, but when he polished the edges, it looked grey and you could not see through it. this new glass has that greensh tint that i am used to seeing when you turn glass on its side. they did a good job, just wish they were cheaper.
jack charged me $5 per piece
this company had diff prices for each piece.
6 each for the sides
10 for the bottom
and 12 for the front piece.
plus they added tax.
jack's was $20 even.

okay, okay, okay, I know the overflow is not perfectly centered. i spent more time maing sure it was leveled. maybe it was meant to be, cichlidtx did the same thing, LOL!

the calk i used was ge #2 black, did not have bio-seal on it and it was for door and windows, no mildew resistence. drys quick and does not have that strong amonia smell.

also got news, the stand should be ready by thurs.

one flaw, he mis understood me when i gave him the dimensions, he made it 2ft like i ask, but it was suppose to be two feet inside the stand.

but he did make me a shelf for the second tank to sit on top. but that won't work as it leaves no room for my skimmer.
so my solution was to bring the sump to the front, raise the shelf and the put the fuge on top.

originally, both tanks was suppose to be side to side, sump in front, fuge in back raised enough to have a bulkhead in the fuge to plumb back to the sump. good thing the stand is tall. not his fault an error on my part.
I still love the stand, and i will make it work. more pics:

not pictured is the box he will design to cover the chiller and possibly my calcium reactor. I think i will just put clear varnish on it. looks real good as it is.
