Just a few updates:
MY mp10 which was bought used, was really loud. had to return it. vortech wanted me to buy a new pump rather than fix it.

How much credit was Ecotech gonna give you? Do they have a trade-up program? I was gonna sell my old one and buy a new one. But if there is an upgrade pgm then I might do that instead.

stopped by citypets today and got me a queit one 3000 along with some vinyl tubing. I placed some styrofoam board underneat my sump as well.

and i bought a tv wall mount stand from frys.
this will be used to suspend my canopy. saw it in this thread:

brought to my attention by cichlidtx, Thanks Buddy.
and i am going to stain the stand darker, using mahagony gel stain.

then i have to figure out how to mount my AI to the canopy.

New Stain, Red mahogany. ran out though, have one side left to stain.
had a small can that was partially used by the wife, now i have to replace her stain.

Ordered my screen top, and all my calc reactor parts are in.
I still have to plumb the chiller in and the reactor.
plus i'm waiting to get my mp10 back.

plus i am going to switch the pvc return to vinyl tubing. reduce vibration.

Got the lights mounted to the canopy and the canopy hanged.

Might add some more leds to brighten the corners, though they look brighter in person. thinking of a getting leds from stevesled and heatsink and drivers from rapidled, they even got a cool dimming switch. Thinking 12 led's 6 on eah side, giving me a total of 36 leds on this system.

was thinking of just getting pr 38's, but the cost of two bulbs are more than a diy kit. I see why people want the sol blue's, the whites on the sol white over power the blues a lot. not sad about it, just an observation.

Overall i'm happy with my build.
here's a quick vid i did with my new camera, d300s, still learning to shoot vid with it. there is no auto fucus, so i have to do everything manually.

I like how the canopy is suspended above the tank, but still looks like its part of the system.

I had the option of getting the blue, but for me i was more concerned with growing corals and not have a deep slow growing tank. that was my mistake, though i like my setup, i do see the benefit of the blue now.
with the with even with the blues at a 100%, the whites over power it, so to get that 14k look, you need to crank the whites down. right now i think i have the whites around 50%

i am actually using AI's controller and love it. i can make changes on the fly, love the timer options, i don't think it's missing any feature i need.

I can't wait to get colored sticks in there, LOL! right now i am undecided on fish, was thinking 3 chromis, 3 blue eyed cardinals and maybe a fairy wrasse or two or three. really want fish that can handle high flow and not be blown all around by the current. I have a screen top so jumping will not be a issue. just need to cover the overflow.

I am working on setting up the calcium reactor, but not rushing that.
waiting patiently for my new ATO from avast marine.

I think i will be ging with 2 mp10's, i have one that needs to be sent back, and i need to get another, but i will buy that one new, no used mp anything for me.

I'm Loving this build.
