Wow, I need to build another tank. The build is almost the best part for me.
Looks like its going to be great.

Thanks everyone, since it's in the garage, it's too cold to work on it, and i still have a couple of purchases to make. bubble counter for reactor, mesh for screen top, auto top off (wait soy, were are those top off parts buddy?)

I think that's it.but i am going to start plumbing. need to get those plastic hangers.

T bubble counter for reactor...

Is there any particular reason you decided to go w/ a CA reactor over dosing pumps + 2 part? From what I've read, on smaller tanks 2-part tends to be more economical.

the reactor was for my 75 fgallon system which i took down before getting a chance to use it, my calcium reactor shoould be more than enough to keep my calcium and alk needs steady with out having to dose anything extra. hopefully when i get it dialed in i won't have to mess with it too much.

I likes my bubble magus doser.... Seems a lot easier than a calc reactor.

I have honestly never used one, but my impression is that CA reactors are a sort of black magic. That's probably because I've never used one. :)

Hey Soy blaze the trail for me... I got yer back! Seriously I would like to follow this as well. I have a Geo reactor (looks so purdy collecting dust) for my 90 that is waiting to be setup.

started plumbing:

and also got the baffles in for the sump, since i am running a bubble magus, i went with an 11 inch depth baffle. this was i can play with the height. since it runs between 9-11 inches of water.

I'm curious how those 90's are going to work for you.

I was thinking about doing away with the unions in mine. The unions do not allow the flow of water to be silent. Perhaps after I change my ball valve over to a gate valve, I can tune it better and it not be a problem.

i think it's a matter of gph, i don't plan on running more than 300gph on my returns. hopefully it will work. I have more 90 down below, all to keep the plumbing clean looking. I'm almost done, could have been done, but i keep taking break as i want to make sure i am not rushing and making mistakes. but i should be staining tonight or tomorrow. if it stinks i will have to wait for warmer weather. and i still have to get some plastic tubing for the returns and some for the drain.

made two trips to FJW today, first time was to buy some loc-line and another bulk head, also to drill my fuge. There is no more Liquor store.

Second trip was to cut some wood that supported the fuge, i shortened it by 3 inches and i also traded in my BM Nac6 for a Nac5. the nac6's cup was to large and got in the way.

now i can reach inside the fuge with my hand and add a light above.

Back to finnish plumbing the last few pieces. then it's on to staining. and electrical.

I did not think it would be done so fast. i imagined atleast 2 months. but once i got going i could not stop. I don't think i will have cash for lunch until the next payday. oh well! my Bday is on the 9th, anybody want to donate some cash to feed a poor reefer?

Just a few updates:
MY mp10 which was bought used, was really loud. had to return it. vortech wanted me to buy a new pump rather than fix it.

my great sicce pump which i boast so much about, let me down. it's really loud. and i think the marking on the box is wrong, i think it is 800gph and not 600. then again it could be a pressure pump, verses a normal pump. hope i said that right.

anyway i need a new quiet pump.
and i re-did the baffles in the sump, dropped them down by 2 inches. actually less than that.

they are 9 1/4 inch high now.
might re-do the plumbing, remove all the bends and switch to vinyl tubing, but might wait till i do another test first.

also going to do a darker stain on the stand.

the fuge has sand and LR in it and a power head along with chaeto. I see pods on the rocks already.
more to come.
