Jim - I have not had a problem with mold. Even above my 120 when they ripped out the sheetrock there were no signs of mold. I do have a vent and an AC unit in the room which cuts down on the moisture though. With this new build I had them use purple board when repairing the walls to be even more precautions.

Still no tank but I got and installed a 4' Truelumen Pro LED light strip under my stand today. I just need to do a little cord management and it should be good to go. Latest update from Reef Savvy is that my tank will ship this week. Keep your fingers crossed!

I got a picture of my tank from Felix today. I can't wait to see it in person.

I find it easier and more robust to have the plumbing exit the bottom of the tank. My original order was with a ghost overflow but we had concerns with the euro-bracing getting in the way. I lost a little usable volume but hopefully the plumbing will be more straight forward and look nicer.

I just ordered $280 worth of plumbing parts from BRS. I thought I already had everything I needed but went I went to lay out the plumbing scheme I quickly realized that was not the case. Hopefully I have enough red PVC to finish the job. I think it is going to look really nice when I am done. I was able to get my return pump connected with the silicone tube that I ordered to reduce any vibrations.

I added 80 pound of sand the other night and have about 300 pounds more to go. I get my PVC fittings today and took tomorrow off from work so that I can work on the tank. Hopefully I can finish the plumbing and start adding water this weekend! I will post more pictures when I finish.

I got the second shipment of schedule 80 PVC parts and made some progress on the plumbing this weekend but I still did not have all of the pieces I needed. I placed another order with BRS which should be here on Wednesday. I did however finish rinsing the sand and added all 400 pounds of it to the tank (ended up only adding 10 of the 11 bags). Even though the plumbing is not done I went ahead and replaced all of the filters in my RO unit and started adding water to the tank at 4:19 today. I figure it will take at least two days to reach the overflow so I might as well start filling it.

As of this morning the water level is about 24" and rising. Pluming parts should be delivers today. Hopefully I can finish the plumbing before the water level reaches the overflow so I don't have to put the fill in pause.

Tank is almost full (1/2 inch below the overflow). I turned off my RO unit and started working on the plumbing. I think I should have all of the plumbing completed tomorrow night and then can continue filling the tank and sump.
