Well just all the nutrients are high in general. All my "dead" rock is turning bright green. Water change will take care of some of the imbalance with that.

getting fish online is a challenge all on its own. i'd personally go local unless you're ready for some lengthy acclimation process.

sometimes it's worth it to pay the extra dime to get fish locally. unless you're buying rare and unusual fish, buying locally is almost always better.

Well I moved the vortech up a bit and changed the flow to reefcrest. The anemone immediatly moved and has relocated one section of rock to the right. I would like to know how the Jebao pumps turn out or when they get in, will probably be interested in the smaller one as my mp10 doesnt seem to move much water.

Update: Got my CUC earlier this week from Reef cleaners, personally I was not impressed with what I received. Im lucky so many creatures made it as none of bags still had water, they all leaked.

Did a water test this morning and either my tank has cycled or my API test kit is a dud. It read 0ppm ammonia, nitrate, nitrite. My KH at 9, Calcium at 420, and phosphate at 0. So now its time to start to learn corals and see what fish are available to put into this tank. All opinions are welcome.

All of the snails I have ever purchased online shipped with almost zero water in the bags & that is from a couple of different vendors so I don't think it was a packing mistake.

Steve is right, if there's a lot of water in the bag most likely they won't make it cause all the ammonia the snails produce.
Snail acclimation is also a slow process, if to fast some of them in too much stress will not make it either.
I had a lot of stuff delivered from reef cleaners and never had a problem if you just follow instructions.

We package our snails and macroalgae in plastic bags. The snails and macro are shipped moist, rather than wet, to increase survivability. Do not be alarmed if there is not much water in certain bags of snails, we ship them that way.

Ok makes sense but I also had hermits and an emerald crab. Whose bags did not have water either. Not knocking the company just describing my experience.

Yeah but you are kinda knocking the company...

Update: Got my CUC earlier this week from Reef cleaners, personally I was not impressed with what I received. Im lucky so many creatures made it as none of bags still had water, they all leaked.

When they did pack the animals as they described they would on their website and which is in fact, the proper way to ship them. My hermits came the same way from another company.

Crabs dunno I don't like crabs in reef tanks.

Sorry I'm not trying to be a jerk and hope I don't sound like I'm picking on you. That's not the intent. I just want to make sure you understand that they did what they said they would do in terms of shipping.

Got a whole bunch if nice corals this weekend. Frogspawn from Omar and found a cheap hammer at city pets. The frogspawn is doing awesome but the hammer not so much. I've given it time in a few different spots and doesn't seem to want to open back up. Was open when I bought it and right when I added to tank. This is a picture of it closed. Looks like it may be splitting?

Lost all my livestock over the last 3 days. Couldnt find out what caused it, unless my test kit doesnt work. Going to take time off from livestock and focus only on coral for a few months until I can procure the necessary equipment to create a consistent maintenance schedule.

Sorry to hear my friend. I know how it feels to lose a lot of livestock.

If you are on Facebook. Please get on my page. Omar's Candy Store. A lot of corals I am putting up and some are going for crazy cheap prices. Most very fair and definitely cheaper than most LFS.

Hahahaha nice plug.
I already am on there. Been watching the auctions, just want to get my tank under control before adding anything else to it. Especially your rare corals.

Thanks for the support.
