Wow so sorry to hear. It's my biggest fear when getting something new for the tank.

Let's just call this a set back... Im sure it seems like more then a set back at this point but you have already proven that you can breed and raise fish. I enjoy reading your threads and learning from your progress, and I can only hope to be that successful in my breeding adventures. Best of luck to you and sorry about your loss.

To this point, all my spawning pairs are gone(either male or female rip).
You will see a BLOW OUT SALE thread on my babies(snowflakes and regular) to start this project again.
This will set me back 8months before i can get a hold of any spawning pairs.

Thanks but I dont need a holding place. They are getting treatment right now. The strong will live.

Taking a vacation tomorrow and when i come back, i will start selling my babies to fund this project again.

I went thru the very same experience. The disease nuked my system overnight.
Copper treated tank with daily freshwater dips to relieve their breathing allowed me save some clowns.

The LFS that did this to me is one of those that keep fish separate from corals/invertebrate. You never know if fishes are healthy or recovering from infections in heavily treated water.
I know they re trying to make a living but to me they re the scum of this hobby.

The LFS that sells me healthy looking clowns living among invertebrates and corals go straight in my system without worries.
Same when i acquiere specimens from fellow hobbyist, i look at their tank and the fish and i know the deal.

Good luck hunting for new pairs

Man I hate seeing all these pics. These were some beautiful clowns. At least you still have some of their offspring. Wish you the best

Saddening Mike, I hope YOU are okay. We get close to our reefs, fishes, and critters. Sometimes the toll on us is great, I'm sure I speak for many of us, we are here for you.

It has been 2 weeks by now and my breeding setup is still empty without water. I need to restart again.

Time to separate it from my 300g reef and plumb it to a different sump.

Flipside(Leo) donated a female Picasso grade B to my project. Your name is on my give back list when i have offspring from this female.
Thank You

Keep your head up, I been thinking of breeding clowns too but I need to learn a lot more before I try anything. Keep it up and let us know how everything is going.

Found a mate for Flipside's Picasso. A male grade A Picasso. Got this one from Donnie at City Pets.
