Hmm, if anyone really gets inspired by that video, I may have to resurrect my failed for-sale thread from four years ago. I have an actuator with rails and 80/20 arms designed to do just that. For those of you who remember Sergio, it was on his tank.
Pm me, let’s talk :)

Been a slow few days over here, waiting for light fixture parts, inspiration.

Installing the Sicce 9.0 as main return pump. I think I noted earlier that I’m moving away from Vectra after a few failures.

Looking for some creative ideas for the Radion power supplies. I’m considering locating them in an adaptive reef control board ideally outside the stand.

Wondering how long the cord can be from fixture to all four of the pwr supplies.

Cleaned out heat sinks on all Radions (nasty) and I’m upgrading them to mobius chips)

Considering upgrading, rewriting the ballasts in the UltraLife hybrid. (The upgrades gotta stop sheesh)

Picked this thing up on eBay. One of the best reef deals I’ve found on auction. Brand new. ce65f555dc654b85462b93e3d67be907.jpg

First major gripe about this thing. Did you know that the sump area is 3 discrete compartments? I’m sure the dividers are structural components as well.

It makes no sense for a “reefer” tank.

I’m sure I’ll void the warranty if I bust out my hole saw.

No clue how to work around this aside from running tubing out the back and back in the side.....and then back out.....never mind

I’m interested in the mechanics of your AE calcium reactor. Does it come with a regulator?

Yes it did.

I’m a little nervous about the electronics as I can’t test it atm.

“How does it work?
A simple digital controller is used to adjust the effluent flow through the reactor and thus raise or lower the alk. The CO2 is controlled for you WORRY-FREE, so that you can spend your time how YOU want. Our A.C.R. features an economical CO2 recirculation system, so it uses 50% less CO2 than other reactors on the market.

The A.C.R. is crafted from strong PVC and CNC precision machined for lasting endurance. It is further backed by the only lifetime warranty in the industry.”

yeah that Rx looks legit. Great find Kris. Does it give how many gallons it's rated for?

6 in Stacked Auto CA Reactor

Ya know I don’t think those ratings are worth much. A 75g sps tank might have more demand than a 150 mixed reef. I doubt I’ll test it’s upper limits.

Two things I can tell you I like right out the gate:

1. The recirculation system. Using 50% less CO2 will be amazing if that works as advertised.

2. Can’t beat a Lifetime warranty.

He’s a brilliant man. Most brilliant doctors I work with are the same way. Their minds are so vast they fail to understand simple concepts sometimes. I’ve heard his stuff is built to last.

One of my favorite additions/upgrades to my gear last year was this IceCap RO. I’ve built several RODI units over the years and I can tell you this was worth the extra cash.

Check out the membrane out TDS. I ran a single DI filter for almost a year.

It has a TDS meter after the membrane? That’s convenient! I never really know when my membrane is bad. I try to change it on the recommended date or if the other filters are all new and I’m getting more than 0 TDS.

Very nice. I have an air water ice unit with a dual meter on the before & after Di so I know when the filters are going bad vs the regular filters, but it isn't anywhere as fancy as that!

You have some pretty clean starting water too though!
