I don't trust the Apex ph monitor system, so I use a Milwaukee, which has been rock steady for a few years. Having said that, I basically use the same steup as you, and it truly is a one-knob solution to controlling the alk/cal/mag/etc. I have my CO2 regulator set slightly higher than what it needs, the ph pegged at 6.6, and just use the Kamoera to control the alk. If I want more alk, I increase the flow. If I want less alk, I reduce the flow. The Milwaukee ph controller and electric solenoid take care of the rest.
Complete opposite for me, I don't trust Milwaukee haha Mine failed and wasn't shutting off the solenoid. Went to my apex and never had an issue.

I haven’t tried the Milwaukee for “control” yet. I’d much rather an Apex for control purposes, but not for pH accuracy. Milwaukee has been in the pH game for 30 years! It definitely shows when you look at their accuracy over other devices. Just the way they calibrate made me a believer.

It’s the newer model. I think they just came out. Seems exactly the same but with the different paint job. I don’t see anything different. Maybe there is, just haven’t noticed it. I need to read and see if they updated anything.
I need one of the cooler looking ones!

Actually pretty clean for a budget light. They’re like a black box in pretty form. Apparently they grow corals as you can see in that video. For $169 you can’t beat them. But no I will not pull my Radion’s off. Just doing some PAR testing and Spread. FAFF114F-F4AC-4BB9-A830-5E5617F3A3D5.png

Sold out - either high demand or they are trying to boost their product. :noidea:
Yeah, I was looking at their t5 hybrid light last year... The 48" fixture as well as the mounting legs have been sold out for over 9 months!

Supply chain issue most likely. It's pretty bad right now with Shanghai locked down longer then expected now.... dont expect the price to be the same as before either cause of shipping container costs have dramatically risen. And Chyna is not allowing their empty containers to be used to ship American good back. So they're eating more cost themselves by not bringing in American goods. Jusy hurts both sides...

Can’t say they impress me all that much on initial unboxing. The power brick is huge and they only come with one support bracket similar to the ones that you can buy for Radions. The light itself is smaller than a Radion. Look at the ALK checker for size reference.

Not gonna lie it does feel good in your hand though. Has a little weight to it. Fan is pretty sweet looking too. It’s a nice blue for sure, but I couldn’t figure out how to change the colors. I’ll have to play with it soon.

Here are the new power bricks. Also new products will be announced soon, so if you guys like these lights, don’t pull the trigger just yet. The new models will be coming soon and it will push the price down even lower on these, but you may light the new model’s better.
