Well... since Copper Power is Chelated Copper...It shouldn't have had much of an affect on the Basslets. The chart does show they're moderately sensitive to Ionic Copper though. :noidea:

This was after I topped off due to evaporation. Overshot it a tad. 1/2g too much fw.

So no idea what happened.

Most likely stress...

Unfortunately more fish die from qt than disease/parasites.

So it was on the money. I'm still thinking they had poor tolerance to the initial high dose and after you corrected it was too late. That's just my guess.

My money is also on "poor tolerance to the initial high dose". If you had a 20-Gallon QT with that group of fish, I would say it was stress, but I doubt it with your 55 gallon QT.
Or.. it could have been a mix. Stress + High Copper Dose + Eating Suppression = DISASTER

I don’t feel I’ve ever had fish die from stress. I hear that all the time but have never experienced it myself even when all my QT’s are 20L and under. I mostly use 5,10,15 gallon tanks.

Ok Steve let see how mine does-got the powder blue today-it was at the store for two weeks. Eats like a pig. No qt rinsed and straight to display.

Will add the Achilles in a few months

My PB and Achilles aren’t separated anymore. Spent about an hour watching them yesterday. So far so good. They flare at each other every now and then but so far pretty much take turns making laps in the tank.

1st tank transfer today. They spent 3-5 minutes in a FW dip before going into new tank with API general cure.

Steve:

I see the air stone behind the powerhead. What is the pump in the center of the tank?
