Just added my first dose of Vibrant!
I think you will be impressed. I thought initially my water was extra clear, but honestly, I think it was because there was no dusting, etc of film algae on the glass. lol
Just added my first dose of Vibrant!
yah know if we were all smart people we would have done a group buy....
Doh! I was to excited and click happy to think logically when I was ordering. I just wish I would get here so my tank will look awesome for the Christmas party!!!!
Someone do a group buy so I can load up for the next tank
Anyone have some before or after pictures? Isn't this essentially just another proprietary carbon blend?

While it has 0.5% carbon in the ingredients I would consider it more of a bacteria blend. The carbon is most likely just enough to keep the bacteria fed and alive in the bottle until you dose it. 95% is bacteria and 3.5% is "Other". I would put money on the fact that the makers of Vibrant figured out the perfect "magical" blend of bacteria strains that work together perfectly in saltwater aquariums to rid them of all the nuisance algae/bacteria.
Has anyone noticed any changes in skimmate production when using Vibrant? Seems my skimmer gets a little angry/more foam after dosing...went from a 1/4 full to 1/2 full overnight..
I get that everyone is so hyped but how is this different than Microbacter7 or similar bacteria products? The idea is still the same, introduce cultured bacteria, those cultures feed off "pollutants" (catch all for nitrate/phosphate/ammonia) in the tank and then is skimmed out or whatever happens they go away? The difference here is with vibrant aquarium cleaner they are advertising the known benefits of removing the "pollutants" which is a cleaner aquarium?
Not saying it doesn't work, just trying to understand the market advantage and how it works a little better.
It's different because it cleared up my cyano while other products didn't. You are right, the idea is the exact same. It's bacteria in a bottle with some carbon, amino acid, and "other". I have no idea what the "other" is though. Only thing I can think of is maybe they found just the right mix of bacteria strains that work together to clean up our tanks. The product is doing what it says it will in my tank. Others are seeing the same results. Sorry I can't really explain why it's working other than it is. I'm only on day 3 though. I'll definitely post back if my cyano returns like it has with most other products I've tried.
