This stuff works guys and gals. I have lost a few of my clean up crew up though. Nothing to eat for them. Tank is spotless. I add when I do my bimonthly water change.

Welp, I'm sold! I dosed 25ml saturday night during the party and as of today I don't have a single spot of cyano on my sand bed! Nada, none, zilch. I'm a little speechless. I figured it would probably work after a week or two. Definitely not after 2 days. I'll keep reporting back on how the overall tank looks. I'm going to dose another 25ml. on wednesday. I'll do 2 doses a week for a few weeks then maybe back off to once a week.

Anyone have some before or after pictures? Isn't this essentially just another proprietary carbon blend?

I dunno I was thinking that as well.. but hey if it works better than VSV and Dr. Tims + Probidio to get rid of unwanted green stuff...

I have an hair algae bloom that popped while I was working 7x12 for several weeks.. It is starting to die off now (before vibrant), but now seeing ding dang bubble algae again.. so that is why I was going to try the vibrant.. to see if helps with that.. if not I will be picking again..

Someone do a group buy so I can load up for the next tank

Not sure if I'm spoiling his surprise but FJW will be carrying this very soon. We found out at the Christmas party that Dennis talked to them and will be a reseller here in Houston. Probably won't need a group buy any longer.

While it has 0.5% carbon in the ingredients I would consider it more of a bacteria blend. The carbon is most likely just enough to keep the bacteria fed and alive in the bottle until you dose it. 95% is bacteria and 3.5% is "Other". I would put money on the fact that the makers of Vibrant figured out the perfect "magical" blend of bacteria strains that work together perfectly in saltwater aquariums to rid them of all the nuisance algae/bacteria.

Has anyone noticed any changes in skimmate production when using Vibrant? Seems my skimmer gets a little angry/more foam after dosing...went from a 1/4 full to 1/2 full overnight..

I get that everyone is so hyped but how is this different than Microbacter7 or similar bacteria products? The idea is still the same, introduce cultured bacteria, those cultures feed off "pollutants" (catch all for nitrate/phosphate/ammonia) in the tank and then is skimmed out or whatever happens they go away? The difference here is with vibrant aquarium cleaner they are advertising the known benefits of removing the "pollutants" which is a cleaner aquarium?

Not saying it doesn't work, just trying to understand the market advantage and how it works a little better.

Same here. My skimmate doubled overnight. Yesterday it wasn't quite double and today less again. I think it went crazy pulling all the gunk out. Now that the water is clean it's settling down again.

It's different because it cleared up my cyano while other products didn't. You are right, the idea is the exact same. It's bacteria in a bottle with some carbon, amino acid, and "other". I have no idea what the "other" is though. Only thing I can think of is maybe they found just the right mix of bacteria strains that work together to clean up our tanks. The product is doing what it says it will in my tank. Others are seeing the same results. Sorry I can't really explain why it's working other than it is. I'm only on day 3 though. I'll definitely post back if my cyano returns like it has with most other products I've tried.
