I also like the true percula, and that Sherman rose anemone are easy to come by.

Check marine depot for price, I think about 250

If you want light loving creatures like anemones, I'd stay away from power compact. Stick to higher quality T5/MH.

I just ordered 6 cree xml leds from ledgroupbuy for 54 bucks shipped.
add some royal blues to the mix and 1 to two heatsinks and some dimmable drivers and you can have a lighting system that can grow anything you throw at it, for less than 200 bucks, or just a little over it.

xml-$41.20

8 of these $30

I'm actually very interested, how many whites and blues would I need for my 36g? Wanna do like an actinic look mixed with white. And "moon lights"

Scott does leds I think. Talk to him, maybe he'll help
Yup, I'm glad to help too. Gimme the footprint of the tank and tell me what you want to keep in it then I will come up with a couple of ideas for you. Or you can check with a couple of our sponsors:
  • BAMF
  • ModAquatics
But DIY is usually cheaper
